Over the past 20 years I have learned that my clients come to therapy to be heard, understood, and to make sense of the complicated issues and relationships in their lives. People begin therapy for many reasons; feeling stuck, overwhelmed,confused or consumed with anxiety and depression. Couples come to therapy to improve their communication, to increase their co-parenting skills, or to enhance their emotional and physical intimacy. A good psychotherapy relationship can improve your feeling of well-being. It can be helpful during periods of transition and provide a safe place to explore past traumas or recent losses.
Through our collaborative efforts you will learn to effectively manage situational or chronic stress, improve your self-esteem, and conquer your fears and replace negative and self defeating thoughts with self affirming and compassionate ones. You will gain the clarity and tools needed to finally take control of your life.
I am an experienced, compassionate and refreshingly straight forward clinician with a good sense of humor.
