The Institute for Ashe Movement (IAM) was created by founder, Dr. Marshall Lee to provide individual psychotherapy and therapeutic dance and movement to residents of New Orleans.

For the past 19 years, I have counseled children, adolescents, adults and couples in the New Orleans area My company, Arthur Scudari, LPC-S LLC, currently does not have a wait-list and accepts most insurance including Medicaid

I am Leatha and I work with individuals who feel as if they have lost themself and their voice, are overwhelmed, and unsure how to make changes. My ideal client is someone who is ready to learn about themselves, find their voice, and make changes to reclaim the power over their lives. Especially during today's climate, it is easy for someone to lose their way. Day to day tasks become harder to do, it is harder to find enjoyment in activities that used to be satisfying, and coping skills and self-care that used to work no longer ease the burdens or frustrations of your day. I am a LCSW with 6+ years of experience working with both adolescents and adults. I received a BA from UNO and my MSW from Tulane in 2009. I have inpatient and outpatient experience with adults who have suffered from mood and personality disorders; and with adolescents with self esteem issues and poor coping skills. I specialize specifically in treating depression and anxiety disorders in both adolescents and adults. I am also a trained doula/birth specialist and offer therapy to women who are seeking support in pre/postpartum phases.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor(LPC) who provides a safe and nurturing environment to assist clients in the exploration of life’s challenges and circumstances. I see counseling as a process in which you the client, and I, the counselor having come to understand and trust one another, work as a team to explore and define present problem situations, develop goals for improved life and work in a systematic fashion toward realizing those goals.
