Dr. Klein treats people with interpersonal/relational issues, with the aim of promoting self-awareness and personal growth, and augmenting the depth, quality and satisfaction of relationships. Dr. Klein is a Diplomate with the American Board of Examiners in Professional Psychology with more than thirty years of experience working with adolescents, adults and couples in both inpatient and outpatient settings. A Distinguished Life Fellow and Past President of the American Group Psychotherapy Association, Dr. Klein maintains a long-term affiliation with the Yale School of Medicine.
Central to what Dr Klein does is to help people more fully understand themselves, both their warts and their beautiful parts, and to develop their abilities to establish and to maintain gratifying relationships.
Since 9/11, Dr. Klein has become increasingly involved in working with the impact of trauma on individuals, couples, families and organizations. Teaching, supervising and training others to use groups to treat trauma is an important component of Dr. Klein's professional identity.
