Amy Bishop graduated with her MSW from the University of Denver in 2004. She works with children ages 3-18 and adults. She has extensive training in alternative forms of therapy, grief and loss, and trauma. She is trained in multiple therapeutic interventions including art, play, sandtray, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, problem solving therapy, group therapy, solution focused therapy, among others. She fundamentally believes we all have everything we need within ourselves to create change in our own lives and she is there to walk beside us in that journey.

Fifteen years ago, in my late 20s, I faced an existential crisis. The pain and shame of knowing I was meant for more—more happiness, meaning, and purpose—without knowing how to get there was overwhelming. At times, terrifying. With the help of others, I discovered my unique path to an authentic, self-led life. My mission as a therapist is to return that gift. I currently specialize in providing evidence-based and trauma-focused psychotherapy to adults, couples, and teenagers in order to strengthen resiliency, promote stability in the home, and improve family functioning. I have extensive experience working with adults with depressive or anxiety issues, couples, behavioral issues, LGBT issues, and school-based issues. I work directly with individuals to ensure that even the most challenging or threatening behaviors can be managed.

Since 1991 our therapists have provided therapy to a diverse population of clients. We use evidence-based therapies to treat a wide range of individual, couple, and family issues. Our fees are on a sliding scale ranging from $25-$85. Our therapy is brief, strengths-based, and solution-focused. When you call, we will conduct a brief phone intake and schedule your first appointment. Morning, afternoon, and evening sessions are available for your convenience. For 30 years I have partnered with clients to reach their goals and create lasting change in their life.
