I believe in working with my clients to develop collaborative goals that will allow us to utilize evidence-based, culturally-responsive and faith-based interventions, as desired. My methods incorporate both eastern and western healing interventions and always begin with a holistic life assessment. Too often clinicians work to make the symptoms feel more manageable. I like to do things differently. I work alongside my clients to discover the root causes of their struggles and witness my clients empowering themselves to unravel those unhealthy habits and replace them with healthy ones. Together we can learn how to heal and thrive.
With over 10 years of experience working in underserved, minority communities, I provide culturally-responsive and faith-based interventions that utilize standard talk-therapy as well as alternative evidence-based therapeutic approaches. I do not believe in a "one size fits all" model of therapy but rather follow your lead in each session.
I believe in being a resource to you because it is not I who can save you or change your life; I am there to support you as you reach your fullest potential, design your life as you want it and change your life for the better. My goal as a therapist is to support you as you build your life into exactly what you want it to be. Contact me to schedule a chat.
