Life is change...but some changes leave wounds that no one can see. I work with men..regular guys, who may never have thought that they would ever need to speak to "a professional'. I know how hard it is to talk about the things that are bothering you. I know what it is to be alone and hurting. There is no magic in what I do. You don't even have to talk about your feelings, if you don't want to.. I stop the bleeding, I clean the wounds, and I help the healing start.
I work with men of all ages who are experiencing significant loss or change and are having difficulty re adjusting. I work with men who are suffering relationship loss, whether through breakup, divorce or death. I also work with men who are suffering severe job stress or job loss.
I specialize in both group and individual treatment. I use a four step model to assist men in transitioning through relationship loss: 1. stemming the emotional bleeding, 2.redirecting focus away from previous relationship 3. Learning self care and re establishing family or origin relationships, 4. Planning for future relationships.
