I have a sincere passion for working with individuals impacted by addiction, depression/anxiety, mood disorders, adjustments to major life changes/events, relationship issues, codependency, family of origin trauma, and various other complex trauma. I want to help you be the best you can be and find self-empowerment in your therapy journey. Through mindful processing and awareness building, I will help you build a foundation for healing as we carefully identify the not so great parts of your life and then pair curated and evidence based real life skills and solutions to problematic behaviors, thoughts/feelings, and experiences.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, and as a counselor, it's my passion to come alongside individuals who seek to deepen their self-awareness and cultivate healthier long-lasting relationships. A foundational belief I hold is that we are created for relationships, and those relationships can shape or break us. With that being said, I believe the sacred relationship between client and therapist has the ability to offer profound opportunities for both healing and transformation. My primary goal in treatment is to make sure every person walks away from session feeling seen, heard, and felt.

It has been said that: "God uses our deepest pain as a launchpad for our highest calling". However, a lot of the times we become immobilized by the pains we have endured. My goal in counseling is to remind believers and non-believers that there is hope past the pain, shame, and doubt they are experiencing; through modalities of individual, couples, family and pre-marital counseling.Do not let shame and doubt rule over you any longer but instead gain insight and authenticity as you understand your Creator, your process and yourself more fully.

My goal as a counselor is to help you find total health in your life using a holistic approach. Emotional, mental, and spiritual health are all equally important components of your total health. I work hard to provide a safe space where you feel comfortable processing your emotions and where you will find motivation to grow. My specialties include substance abuse disorders, codependency issues, developing healthy boundaries, and trauma-related issues. I utilize a variety of therapies including EMDR, cognitive-behavioral, and mindfulness-based solutions.

My clients may be struggling with a variety of issues commonly including sexually compulsive behavior, relational challenges, unresolved trauma, substance abuse, or codependency. Many of my clients have are engaged in a healing and recovery process from their struggles, but desire a deeper dive into their recovery and understanding of self. Their general goals are to overcome not only the symptoms that brought them to treatment but also what drives those symptoms. Clients seeing me are in need of a therapist who is specifically qualified for their needs & can be up-front and direct while also being compassionate and non-judgmental.

Instead, I strive to be the "ideal" therapist for each client. Every client presents with different problems, different goals, and different motivators. Therefore, it is my job as the therapist to meet each client where they are at and provide them with the services they need and deserve. The one thing that I believe all clients have in common is the desire to take action that will promote them to a higher level of functioning in their every day life.

You can improve performance, achieve goals, and feel well, even though you may have doubts. Sometimes you may be unaware of what actually causes you to feel as anxious, depressed, indecisive, guilty, overwhelmed, or angry as you may feel. With stress arising in relationships or work, you may sometimes wonder, "Why is this happening to me again?" I collaborate with my clients to plan strategies to resolve stress so they can feel more in control and confident. I also assist with performance enhancement to foster improvement in public speaking anxiety, social anxiety, test anxiety, work inhibition/procrastination, stage jitters, blocked creativity, etc.

My primary focus is persons who have experienced trauma. I also work with persons experiencing depression, anxiety, men's issues, grief/loss, alcohol abuse, codependency, self harm and mood disorders. I have a background as a first responder and work with law enforcement, health care, fire/EMS, and military personnel.

I strive to help my clients gain increased awareness, live mindfully, improve their relationships, and recognize the messages and patterns that are holding them back from experiencing a more fulfilling life. My hope is to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment to help my clients use person-centered and strengths-based techniques to reach their goals. I primarily see my clients via telehealth and have limited availability for in person sessions.
