About
I love to help people ask ‘the big questions’—Who am I? How can I be my best self in the world? What is my purpose? What will my legacy be? These existential questions can arise in times of transition such as graduation from college, when choosing a career, during mid-life, at retirement, or in contemplating our mortality. Some people have grown up or spent much time in a religious or spiritual community whose beliefs or practices they can no longer support. Some have trauma due to these experiences and feel they could benefit from having a wise witness and guide through the experience of reflecting on and choosing their values.
I have experience with both young and older adults. I can help you integrate or heal from the past, explore your purpose, and draw on your strengths for the path ahead. However, if you are in emotional pain right now, we’ll use CBT strategies and stabilizing techniques in the context of a trauma-informed approach to help you feel better before going deeper.
Many of us face painful uncertainty due to COVID, since it feels like everything is on hold. You may feel anxious, lonely, or very stressed due to racism, financial woe, or worry for the country’s future and for the earth. If you need a compassionate guide through these strange times, let’s schedule a free, 20-min. call and see how I might be of help.
