About
I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I can help you to understand how your thoughts, feelings, behavior are interconnected, and that negative thoughts and feelings can trap you in a vicious cycle. CBT aims to help you deal with overwhelming problems in a more positive way by breaking them down into smaller parts. You're shown how to change these negative patterns to improve the way you feel. Unlike some other talking treatments, CBT deals with your current problems, rather than focusing on issues from your past. The use of humor in CBT is encouraged. We look for practical ways to improve your daily state of mind.
I use an eclectic approach to counseling with a specialty in CBT. I find that a sense humor can make the counseling experience more enjoyable. It is my goal to listen to your concerns and work with you to address those concerns in a way that leaves you feeling healthy, confident and prepared to manage life's challenges effectively.
I am currently transitioning from my Conway office to my new office in Surfside Beach, therefore I am not accepting new clients at my Conway location. I am currently accepting new client's in the Surfside office. I am also a licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor available to provide supervision to LPC/Associates and/or Supervisor Candidates.
