I'm a former field instructor for the graduate schools of Columbia and Rutgers universities. I provide clear and direct feedback with compassion. My therapy sessions are short or long term, and goal-oriented in the CBT and DBT treatment framework. I'm knowledgeable about psychotropic medications and will work with prescribing physician as needed. Phone or e-mail inquiries are welcome. Reduced fee considered in special circumstances. I am a Medicare provider, but I am not in any other insurance networks, but out- of- network insurance plans will pay for part of your treatment.
Group therapy offered periodically.
I offer crisis intervention for those traumatized by infidelity. Such an event promotes a powerful opportunity to address and explore issues that may have been ignored. Crisis and emotional pain create the focus and energy to strengthen and heal a wounded relationship.
"Homework" is sometimes utilized to promote faster healing.
I am adept at short term (one to 16 weeks) of goal focused treatment. I also have a specialty in treating anxiety disorders: panic, phobias, OCD, social anxiety and generalized anxiety. I have expertise in the cognitive and behavioral treatment modalities where the emphasis is on the here and now.
