For over 20 years I have been involved in the mental health system and have had the privilege of helping individuals & families achieve their goals and overcome a variety of challenges (i.e. depression, anxiety, mood disorders, new transitions, relational, & substance abuse struggles). I have been working with children, families and organizations for over three decades in various forms. From children with special needs, to teaching, to hospice care, to working in schools and organizations, to now working full time as a therapist. My personal theoretical foundation is not limited to one approach. I believe it is necessary for counselors to be adaptive. Every client is different and our responses and approaches should be equally diverse. One person may need a cognitive behavioral approach whereas another would be more responsive to brief counseling. This eclectic approach will be applied to all clients. Techniques will vary between clients to best meet the individual client's needs.

As a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I often work with clients who are suffering from anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, life transitions, esteem issues, and relationship difficulties. I take a collaborative and relational approach to counseling. I can offer a warm and safe space for exploration and growth. In my work experience I have provided clinical support to a wide variety of individuals working through a number of concerns such as ADHD, Grief and Loss, Depression, Anxiety, Severe Panic Attacks, Trauma, Relationship concerns, Self-harm, Domestic violence and adjusting to new life circumstances. I have also worked in large part at a providing clinical services to teens suffering from severe mental illness and helping them cope with difficult life circumstances and develop a positive and fulfilling outlook on the present.
