In my 30+ years of experience as a therapist, clinical supervisor, researcher, educator and writer on complex trauma, I have come to believe that we are shaped as much by the good things that went missing from our lives as the bad things that happened to us. In Addition, Our Success RATE is 85% of Our Couples that have Successfully Completed Our Couples Workshops or Alcohol Treatment.

I have been working with families and couples in various configurations and locations since 1972. In addition to being a Licensed Family Therapist, I am also a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, AASECT Certified Sex Therapist, and Nationally Certified Rehabilitation Counselor. I have taught courses in Ethics, Substance Abuse, Sexuality, and other subjects in the Graduate School Of Counseling at UMass/Boston. Primarily, my work is about family and couple relationships. In 2012, I was awarded the Schiller Prize for my work with fathers, daughters, and sexuality by AASECT. I am an AAMFT Approved Supervisor, and train therapists.

Prior to joining Recovering Champions, she served as the Executive Director at Spectrum Health Systems in Westboro, MA, where she managed and oversaw the operations of eight inpatient substance abuse treatment programs in Massachusetts.

As a licensed mental health clinician, my goal is to help guide you to a place of well-being and fulfillment. I have experience working with teenagers and adults of all ages in addressing struggles related to anxiety, depression, addiction, grief & loss, life transitions, and trauma. I am also interested in the role technology plays in one’s experience of mental health symptoms and have completed research on the impact of smartphone addiction in college age students.
