As a counselor, I am committed to being present, open, and accepting with you. Much of my practice consists of helping clients heal from trauma and/or substance use. I also work with professionals who are over-stressed or who are adjusting to life with a mental illness or psychological injury.
I’m a Certified EMDR Therapist. EMDR is a form of therapy that helps people heal from trauma or other distressing life experiences. I use interpersonal therapy to help clients identify and fulfill unmet needs, set healthy boundaries, and improve communication. I use mindfulness and cognitive-behavioral approaches to help reduce pain & harmful substance use.
My method of practice is adaptive, holistic, existential, and interpersonal. You can expect warmth, kindness, and respect from the first phone call, to the first session, and throughout the entire counseling process.
