My top priority is to provide a safe and nurturing counseling environment where my clients feel supported as they learn and grow. I blend several different counseling techniques together in a manner that fits each client's specific needs. Through careful listening and understanding, I guide my clients in examining their current and past attitudes, feelings, beliefs, thoughts, and choices and collaborate with each client to determine how these are affecting their day-to-day lives. Together, we create a plan to work through these issues, and I challenge and support my clients as they make positive choices and changes.

At Collaborative Change we work with adults, children, adolescents and families who face a variety of issues that prevent them from functioning at their best. Our goal is not to "fix" the people that we work with but rather to provide safe and innovative ways for people to collaborate with a therapist to create positive change for themselves. Our therapists are trained in a variety of approaches and techniques to help people reach their goals in their own unique way.

I believe people can change, because I see it daily with my clients. I believe it because I lost over 130 pounds. My specialties include couples counseling, grief and loss, and trauma. I also have extensive experience working with depression, anxiety, and substance abuse. I know therapy can feel intimidating. Before becoming a therapist, I was a client and worked with a therapist on ways to improve my quality of life. This experience taught me what clients need. I know that the client/therapist relationship is the most important aspect of treatment. The better the relationship, the more healing that occurs.

While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life. I enjoy working with persons from all different walks of life. I work with individual, couples, families, and children, but particularly feel a passion to work with persons who are struggling with new transitions in their life such as grief, trauma, divorce, and relationship conflicts. I have worked in community mental health with individuals, couples, children and families with various diagnosis such as ADHD, ODD, trauma, depression, anxiety, conduct issues, and school based related issues. I also enjoy diving into theological conversations leading to liberation, strengthening one's faith, and helping integrate faith, spirituality, and relational health for those interested.

I am a Licensed Social Worker with a passion for decreasing the stigma surrounding mental health and promoting the health and well being of my clients. For my undergraduate degree, I moved from Central Jersey (Yes! It exists!) to South Jersey to attend Stockton University. I received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Work with a Minor in Behavioral Neuroscience from Stockton, and then moved on to attend graduate school in Philadelphia. I received my Master of Social Work Degree with a clinical concentration from the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Social Policy and Practice in May of 2020.

Investing time to know my clients is essential to me as we are all impacted by family, social, cultural, and economical factors. I feel it is important that clients are given a safe space to share their stories. ​I have worked with children, teens, married couples, parents, and adults with various life situations, including people experiencing homelessness and addiction. I also have a history of working with individuals involved in ministry settings. I am a practical strategist for supporting people through life’s difficulties. As a heartfelt listener I love to help people find hope when they otherwise feel stuck.
