We are a North Shore group of psychologists and counselors that are committed to providing quality therapeutic services for clients through the lifespan. We are licensed specialists who work with infants, toddlers, children, teens, adults, couples,and families. Services are provided in English and Polish. Each client will be listened to in a newly renovated office that promotes comfort and privacy. Individualized treatment is developed for each client to increase positive outcomes and success. We use evidence-based treatments that have been researched and found to reduce barriers that interfere with positive and healthy functioning.

I work with children, adolescents, young adults, adults, and families who struggle with issues of anxiety, depression, confidence, and interpersonal relationships. The number one aspect of successful treatment is a strong/trusting relationship. I connect with clients through sports metaphors, movies, real life scenarios, and getting to understand their interests. Everyone has a story so I believe it is important to include family during phases of treatment, to best understand the client's story. In addition, I believe the family is a necessary part of the therapy team, therefore family members are included in phases of treatment to ultimately help my client reach their goals.

As human beings we learn, develop meaning, and create a sense of purpose through each other and the relationships we form. In the same spirit I believe the therapeutic process is driven by the relationship formed between the client and the therapist. This is why my approach in therapy is guided by the question - "How can I provide a relationship which this person may use for their personal growth?" I strive to create an empathic, nonjudgmental atmosphere where you feel safe and empowered to work toward personal growth and creating lasting change; forming trust and leaning toward vulnerability.

My philosophy to treatment is to "test first so there are no questions later!" This means the first step is to identify all the major factors contributing to your problem, as well as any smaller problems that could be having an impact. Often, what seems to be one problem is really something else entirely. This diagnostic clarity is accomplished by administering a battery of tests personalized to your unique presentation. By identifying specific areas in need of intervention, the rate of recovery increases and much more targeted treatments can be implemented.

Our life's work is helping clients achieve a better sense of self and happiness...more recently we've recognized that without good mental health providers, finding this balance in life can be more difficult and stressful. As a result, we tend toward an Integrative approach and help our clients transform into the people they want to be. We see each client as an individual with many parts to their identity. Utilizing a holistic and systemic approach we help clients reintegrate the parts of themselves to function better as individuals and within their systems. Our focus tends toward a systems based approach using behavior methods.

As we walk through different seasons of our lives, we may all need caring individuals that can offer interventions, help and/or support during our circumstances. Going further, I believe that we were innately created to be in covenant or relationship with our creator, our family or other social circles that we choose to surround ourselves with. However, it is a very personal choice as to how each one of us chooses to go about this path. My strong belief in this basic aspect of life gave birth to Covenant Intuition Center.

I am Dr. Sylvia Kobe, and I am a Licensed Clinical psychologist. My associate Dr. Mary-Zitta Muabe and I collaborate to cover a broad counseling spectrum. Together Dr. Muabe and I specialize in marriage, family therapy, and spiritual maturity. We also work with teens, young adults, and individuals battling anxiety, depression, or struggles to cope with every-life issues. We believe in empowering our clients, encouraging them to see that life is all about second chances, and with the right kind of intervention, the best is yet to come.

Landstrom Center was founded in 2015 by Dr. Matthew Landstrom with a goal of bringing together a team of clinical professionals who are committed and enthusiastic about data-driven and evidence-based approaches. This goal was grounded in Dr. Landstrom’s unique approach to treatment, "Test first, no questions later!", which fully utilizes comprehensive diagnostic evaluations in order to provide the best and most individualized services, treatments, and resources for each patient.
