I am a conversational therapist. I attempt to establish a comfortable environment that allows for humor and examples to clarify concepts and patterns of thinking. I believe in empowering the client for change and am an empathic and intuitive listener which allows me to hone in on client strengths. Directly communicating these strengths and modeling behavior offers the client the opportunity to achieve milestones leading to increased self-esteem.
I have an interactive approach and strive to create a partnership with my clients. Via this partnership we can foster the development of insight, goals, and healthy boundaries. I believe understanding our challenges and roadblocks opens the door to new attitudes, mindfulness, as well as interest in changing our behaviors.
My background has encompassed Individual and couples psychological counseling, career counseling, pre-commitment counseling, and working with individuals with ADHD. I have counseled people in many settings and respect, appreciate, and enjoy the unique experience of each individual. I look forward to working with you.
