Many people considering therapy feel conflicted. People fear they may encounter a familiar need to censor themselves even with a therapist. Shannon Pannell is a nationally certified licensed professional counselor candidate who is a Foundational Theraplay Practitioner. I offer a range of specialty services that generally fall outside the typical categories and tend to use a “whole person” approach to treatment and stabilization, though over the last 10+ years of intensive couple’s and individual work I’ve treated almost everything and welcome all issues large or small, no matter the complexity. I offer Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy as well as Spiritual Emergence Coaching and meditation training for issues where mental health and spirituality meet. Lastly, I offer specialty testing to precisely identify problems and diagnoses, then use these to best determine what treatment will be most helpful.

As an attachment-focused child therapist, I work primarily with children and young adults with their parents. Many feel stuck in a negative pattern of conflict, defiance, and anger. My focus is promoting change through playful, accepting, reciprocal connections between caregivers and children. I am a TBRI Practitioner and am trained in DDP by Dr. Daniel Hughes. I am a Certified Autism Professional, have advanced training in working with ADHD, have been trained in both level 1 and level 2 EMDR, and am completing my DBT training. I utilize a playful, engaged presence, movement and play for a bottom-up approach to healing.
