I managed LDS Family Services for 13 years and loved directing the 12-step Addiction Recovery Program in Michigan, New York and Pennsylvania. I've been recruited by multiple residential treatment centers, a hospital, a skilled nursing facility, and by an IOP program assessing and treating substance abuse and domestic violence.

Counseling can be an amazing discovery into new ways of creating happiness. My dedication is fired by my clients' "Aha!" moments. I strive to be relationship focused in all I do as a counselor, even in my individual work. I believe the research and have observed how loneliness hurts: we thrive when connected and struggle when isolated. I utilize EFT and the Gottman Method with couples; I focus on family work with children because individual play therapy is often unhelpful, in the long-term; Filial Play Therapy and PCIT are my favorites models for parents with their children. I utilize ACT and Arbinger principles in most of my work. I foster connections with my clients but especially between clients and their people, including their spiritual Connection.

Working as a therapist for over 10 years, I have always been passionate about helping people overcome their challenges and achieve their goals. I have experience working with people who are facing issues of depression, anxiety, ADHD, addiction, and trauma. I have worked with various populations and feel comfortable working with most everyone. I have also specialized in working with male youth who struggle with managing symptoms of impulsivity, and oppositional defiant behavior.

I am here to help clients who are struggling with anxiety, depression and relational issues. My clients want proven solutions to immediate problems and support in getting through crisis and trauma. Many of my clients are concerned parents who need help communicating with their children and helping their children through developmental milestones (teens and young adults).
