Hello, I welcome this opportunity to join you in this segment of your life's journey. At times obstacles are in our path and we need help removing them. Whether you are struggling with some inner battles; some life changing or major decisions, I would like to provide some good listening, accountability or guidance. Some specific issues that might be addressed include lack of motivation, confusion about direction, relationship issues, career changes, health issues, caregiving challenges or just needing to sort out priorities. Balance is an overarching goal: Self-care; family; work and community.

My role as a therapist is not independent, but a partnership. I am a collaborator and facilitate exploration as a means of helping to determine what best serves you and helping you to empower yourself to make desired changes. I understand that it can be awkward or stressful to make the call or take the step to talk to someone. I will do my best to help you feel safe and comfortable with me. Confidentiality is sacred. If you should find that I am not the therapist for you I will help you find someone who would be a better fit for your needs.

Relationship is key in this process you are exploring -- it is in our therapeutic relationship where Alchemy happens. Therapy is not only about your story - it is about you, the Storyteller (how does the story live In us? affect us and our lives?). It is my heartfelt belief that Safety in the therapeutic relationship allows for increased self-awareness, for Transformation, and ultimately, for our Truest self to emerge, to Blossom – allowing you to more easefully and naturally live free (from.... fill in the blank) and empowered. I truly believe it takes Courage for us all to genuinely live from our most authentic nature.

If you, or someone you love is currently experiencing unbearable stress levels, major mental illness, or going through a traumatic experience, I am here to help. There is no shame in asking for help, its actually a sign of courage to reach out, and make an effort to change. My specialties include; trauma, self-esteem, parenting, relationships, grief, death or divorce, fears and phobias, anger issues, sexual abuse, substance abuse, stress management. I teach interpersonal relationship skills, emotional regulation & distress tolerance skills. I also diagnose all mental health disorders based on DSMV.

I am licensed in CO and UT. I work with women and specialize in trauma recovery, EMDR therapy, somatic modalities and creative processes that help build a capacity to meet challenges as an opportunity for growth. I offer caring, compassionate support and focused guidance to help people trust their own inner wisdom and self-healing abilities and make lasting changes in their lives.

My ideal clients are adults experiencing burnout in helping professions, or who are at a transitional time in life. You know there is more out there, but you are stuck in a routine of your own making that doesn’t match what you know is possible. My clients are most often highly intelligent, self aware, and marginalized people who have a history of trauma and have struggled with perfectionism and over-achieving their entire lives. You may people please, feel overly empathetic and drained by others’ problems and emotions, or wonder why others don’t notice the larger, systemic issues at work or in society that seem so obvious to you.
