As your coach, I will (1) Assess the area(s) preventing you from moving forward (what's got you stuck?); (2) Identify where it is you want to be in life personally and professionally; and (3) Develop a roadmap to get you there.

With more that thirty years of pastoral and clinical experience in private practice, institutions and churches I provide traditional counseling/therapy for individuals, couples and families in my capacity as a licensed marriage and family therapist and licensed marriage and family therapy supervisor. As a Board Certified Pastoral Counselor, I also provide Christian spiritual life coaching and faith perspectives on life and relationship issues. The goal is to bring clinical and pastoral expertise to the counseling process. My work is with individuals, couples, families and small groups.

My ideal client is aware of the toll addiction has taken on their life. They may face challenges with substances like alcohol, drugs, or behavioral addictions such as gambling, sex, food, technology or even work. Often, their struggles include co-occurring mental health issues like anxiety or depression. They need a compassionate, non-judgmental environment to address their addiction and underlying emotional complexities. They seek evidence-based, personalized strategies for regaining control, including coping skills for cravings, emotional regulation techniques, and ways to repair relationships affected by addiction.

I believe in the innate capacity of human beings to find their own answers, and I see my role as helping to facilitate that process. I enjoy helping people find their own strengths and develop and fine tune their growth. My style is fundamentally humanistic, and I believe that encouragement is at the root of growth and healing. Helping clients to recognize patterns in their lives can also be beneficial. My background in rehabilitation counseling has enabled me to work with adults with a wide variety of disabilities. My personal experiences also enable me to help others with the emotional aspects of serious medical issues.
