I am a licensed psychologist who enjoys working with all different kinds of people. I like to work on what gets in the way of optimum mental health. Much of my practice in the past almost thirty years has focused on relationships of all kinds, depression, self-esteem, conflict resolution, better communication, adult children of alcoholics, parenting, anxiety, chronic illness, addictions, and sexual abuse. It's hard to get clean and sober, and staying clean and sober tends to bring out issues that also can be quite difficult. I provide private, confidential treatment for the chemically dependent. Since 1994 I have helped hundreds of men and women through counseling to address their alcoholism, drug addiction and related issues. I provide counsel, support and coaching for those in early recovery. I also counsel those in sustained recovery who are ready to work on recovery related life issues.

I received my Masters in Clinical Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania. My practice is located in Wynnewood, PA. I specialize in children, adolescents, young adults, and families. I value quality of life and identifying what that means for each individual. My approach is collaborative, supportive and client-centered. My office is a safe place for children to learn how to express themselves using play, sand play, and art therapy. For adolescents and young adults I believe in creating a space where we can have difficult conversations and work to resolve issues.

Parenting Services for Families and After Adoption is a prevention-early intervention psychotherapy and educational practice for families with young children, both by birth and via adoption. Elaine Frank and Denise Rowe assist parents in getting to know their infants and toddler's personalities and ways of relating and communicating. The better one knows one's child, the more effective will be parenting strategies. Parent-child groups are a stimulating, enjoyable way to learn about aspects of the parent-child relationship, improve child and parent behavior, and learn about the 'ghosts' one brings from childhood to parenthood.
