Hello there! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a heartfelt passion for making a positive difference in people's lives. My journey started back in 2000 when I earned my MSW from NYU. In 2007, I embarked on a transformative journey to become a Gestalt Therapist, honing my counseling skills to better serve the public.

I begin the collaboration with each person seeking my professional counsel by asking, "What is it you're not getting in your life that causes you pain?" Together, we explore the resources that will allow them to heal, change and grow. During the 30 years I have practiced psychotherapy, from a systemic or holistic perspective, I have assisted individuals, parents, couples, adolescents and caregivers to see and experience their lives differently.

Nothing in life is permanent; dealing with change and loss is inevitable. I believe that how we cope with these life transitions often defines who we are and who we will become. Working with people dealing with grief and loss, as well as with people in the arts confronting creative challenges, has been the focus of my practice for over 30 years. I've also worked extensively with young people who are gifted but considered "quirky" or socially awkward, with the goal of helping them realize the value of what they have to offer others.

It is not easy being a parent, partner, earner or individual in the fast paced, competitive world of northern NJ and NYC. We can feel anxious, depressed, uncertain or lost in how we think and feel about ourselves, our relationships, our families, and our professional lives. We can want to make healthy and effective changes, but sometimes that can be hard to do alone and we need a trusted other that has the expertise to help us untie the knots we are caught in. Many of my clients are successful, but struggle with certain issues, including anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, parenting, and professional life challenges.

We sometimes need help navigating life's challenges, whether they occur at home, in school, or in the workplace. Other times you just need someone to listen. Resolving adversity requires trust, resilience and coping mechanisms. I am a queer identifying therapist and I like to think of therapy as a big exploration that allows the feelings and emotions you are having to come in fully without judgement. And you gotta feel it to heal it. We get curious together about what is happening for you and explore. Once you become aware of unconscious patterns, you make them conscious. That awareness can help to create change and make a huge difference in your life.
