I believe that everyone has a unique life story that presents both great challenges and great opportunities. I have been a practicing counselor for the past twenty years in the Pike’s Peak region. I have worked with people of all ages from young children to seniors. I provide individual, couples and family therapy.

For over thirty-five years, I have worked with persons dealing with trauma, divorce, remarriage, co-parenting issues, and partner and family issues. I work with adults, couples, & families. I enjoy working with persons from diverse cultural, ethnic, racial, national, religious, socioeconomic backgrounds, as well as sexual orientations.

One of my favorite quotes about life is by James Baldwin, which says, “Not everything that is faced can be changed but nothing can be changed until it is faced.” Life is too short to let trauma control us, to be anxious, depressed or angry all the time or to struggle alone in relationships. Therapy may not be the most comfortable experience, but it can be life changing. I want you to be able to find meaning and purpose and work through emotional pain so that your self-worth, relationships and other areas of life thrive.

We are all human, imperfect, and want/need grace. Mental health is a part of our overall health, not separate from it. We cannot disconnect the head from the body. All session are conducted with empathy and compassion, with or without equines. We are currently accepting new clients, as our caseload allows. We accept Medicaid, TriWest, TRICARE, and Aetna insurances, in addition to private pay with a deeply sliding scale. We can also do a single case agreement or supply a superbill for out of network insurance.

In the past three years, I have worked as a counselor to both children and to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.
