My passion is to come along side individuals, couples and families to walk the journey of healing, change, recovery, and be present with and actively listen to them in the moment. I truly believe that each one of us has everything we need within us to make desired change. I do realize from my own journey that life can have many twists and turns, obstacles, hurtles and unexpected difficulties. My goal is to make an environment for you to feel comfortable and safe; enabling you to be willing to try to seek support.

Ute Pass Eval focuses on clinical, forensic, and neuropsychological testing and assessments. We offer forensic, education/academic achievement, intelligence, personality, psychodiagnostic, and other specialized psychological assessment services. We are equipped to assess children and adults of all ages and can travel to jails/prisons. Willing to provide Telehealth, meet in my office, or meet the patient where they live.

I work with a person centered, trauma focused approach to assist with building a working relationship with clients to allow them to understand their own needs and goals. From there we work to develop coping skills that can assist you with addressing your own anxiety or depression. I understand the each individual is different and therefore there is not a one size fits all approach. I work to meet you were you are and work with you to move past trauma to a more productive, happy future.

My goal as a Licensed Professional Counselor is to offer professional care on a personal level to clients in Colorado Springs and Woodland Park. My focus is on working with individuals, families and couples from all walks of life that are open to learning and growing. If you are struggling with shame or frustrated that things seem to be beyond your control, then I would like to help you discover what can help you find freedom. Whether the barrier is depression, anxiety, addiction, sexual issues in your relationship, or establishing healthy boundaries, there is hope and freedom.

We are all human, imperfect, and want/need grace. Mental health is a part of our overall health, not separate from it. We cannot disconnect the head from the body. All session are conducted with empathy and compassion, with or without equines. We are currently accepting new clients, as our caseload allows. We accept Medicaid, TriWest, TRICARE, and Aetna insurances, in addition to private pay with a deeply sliding scale. We can also do a single case agreement or supply a superbill for out of network insurance.

For over 25 years wives have told me that their husbands won't attend counseling. If "it's a waste of time" they won't come back. More often than not they don't believe that "talking" will change anything. My sessions are about identifying real issues and personalized tools. It is absolutely rewarding to see people create a relationship they never imagined! If you want your spouse to attend with you, ask them to attend ONE time. You will be surprised when they agree to return! And it's more convenient than ever attending my VIRTUAL sessions. My experience and ability to get to the core issues quickly is key to successful resolution.

With over twenty five years experience in El Paso and Teller counties working with individuals, families and groups, I believe that difficulties often bring us to a place of change. Change comes with an assortment of feelings: relief, fear, sometimes both. My personal background is rich in diversity and experience. With unconditional acceptance and compassion for my clients, I am known for my work with a variety of people. We identify the problem and then focus on solutions together. I am a licensed family therapist with level III certification in addictions counseling and experience working with individuals and groups as well.

Sometimes, we find ourselves buried under challenging life circumstances. When this happens, we are left with three options: remain stuck and undecided, fight through, wounded and bitter, or emerge stronger, wiser and more resilient. I love coming alongside clients who feel they are without hope, and helping them find their inner strengths to emerge resilient. I have experience working with trauma, grief, PTSD, pain management, postpartum depression, chronic medical conditions, OCD, substance use, ADHD, depression, anxiety, bi-polar, and marriage and family issues.

When people experience trauma, severe life stressors, or even experience change of any kind, it is not uncommon for their lives to unravel. My passion and greatest gift is bringing healing to people who have been through a traumatic/stressful experience. I help my clients, children, adults, and families, including the very young (ages 2-5), find healthy perceptions of themselves and strengthen their relationships so they can know themselves as restored, complete, whole, and safe.
