I help couples, families and individuals who feel stuck. With couples and families, I integrate my background in conflict resolution with advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), an evidence-based model that helps people move out of painful cycles, heal disconnection, and build stronger, more secure emotional bonds. To make this accessible, I accept most insurances for couples, including Medicaid.

As of 6/16, I am accepting new clients! I support adults (18+) in healing trauma, building emotional stability, and creating a life that truly feels like their own. I specialize in working with those impacted by relational conflict, cultural expectations, religion or spirituality, and the weight of work or responsibility. Many of the people I work with are the ones everyone else leans on - competent, capable, and dependable - yet privately overwhelmed and second-guessing themselves. Healing is possible. And, It doesn’t require you to abandon yourself - it invites you to come home to yourself.

I am affirming of LGBTQIA+ identities and welcome couples of all backgrounds.
Many couples come to me after a late diagnosis—often in adulthood—when suddenly years of conflict, burnout, or disconnection start to make sense. One or both partners may feel grief, relief, anger, or confusion as past struggles are reinterpreted through a new lens. I help couples navigate this transition with care and structure—supporting both partners.

The purpose of this glorious life is not simply to endure it, but to soar, stumble and thrive as you learn to fall in love with your human experience. We were born to live, not to merely exist. It is my job to help you explore the deepest recesses of yourself, to discover what is holding you back from living a happy, present, soulful experience. I'm here to help your mind, body and soul thrive! I particularly enjoy working with mothers transitioning into the new identity of motherhood. Becoming a mother is monumental, and support in the journey is essential to help you thrive rather than simply survive.

I am a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) in Colorado with specialized training in couples and relationship counseling and LGBTQIA affirming counseling.
On paper, your life looks successful. You achieved everything you set out to do and built a life that others admire. But instead of enjoying it yourself, you feel tired, anxious, and full of doubt. You’re constantly pushing yourself to be better, yet it rarely feels like what you accomplish is enough. And the usual strategies like overthinking, planning, and powering through are just making things worse. You’re successful, but you're also overwhelmed, disconnected, and wondering why none of this feels as satisfying as you expected it would.

I help clients become their best selves through self-exploration, empowerment and identifying self-defeating behaviors and patterns. I always offer a non-judgmental environment and unconditional positive regard. Often, one already holds the keys to unlocking the potential within and finding the answers to what is holding them back. Reconnecting with your OWN wisdom in therapy gives you the power to recognize your worth and needs, improve relationships, and fully care for yourself. It is time to heal experiences that affect feeling whole; childhood hurts, family problems, grief, and trauma. I can help you live your authentic life.

LGBTQ+ Therapists
Do LGBTQ-affirmative therapists receive special training?
Yes. Many therapists who practice LGBTQ-affirmative therapy have completed specialized training, either during their degree program or as continuing education, to learn the core principles of affirmative therapy and how to best support their LGBTQ clients; some have received certifications in LGBTQ-affirmative therapy. Prospective clients should inquire as to a clinician’s background and training to ensure a good fit.

Why might I want to see an LGBTQ-affirming or LGBTQ-friendly therapist?
Queer and gender-non-conforming individuals frequently experience bias and marginalization in day-to-day life. Working with a therapist who understands these unique challenges, as well as accepts and affirms their identity, can help LGBTQ clients feel safe and supported during therapy—allowing them to better navigate their relationships, mental health, and anything else that they wish to explore during therapy. It is important to note that many therapists can be effective in their work with LGBTQ+ individuals, even in the absence of specific training or background knowledge. The most important component in therapy is the alliance between therapist and client, and this alliance can exist between individuals with very different backgrounds.

How can I find an LGBTQ-friendly therapist?
You may wish to inquire about a therapist’s expertise with your specific challenges or concerns—depression, for example, or relationship strife—as well as their past experiences treating LGBTQ+ clients. Prospective clients may also ask whether a therapist has obtained additional training and/or certification in LGBTQ-affirmative techniques.

How can I inquire about a therapist’s experience with LGBTQ issues?
Prospective clients should feel empowered to directly ask therapists whether they have received training or been certified in LGBTQ-affirming therapy; competent therapists will be happy to explain their educational background and preferred approach(es) to help a client find the best match for them. Clients may also wish to ask how a therapist has treated clients with their particular challenges in the past and what they expect treatment to look like.

Are all the therapists listed in the LGBTQ directory themselves members of the LGBTQ community?
While therapists may choose to disclose their sexual orientation or gender identity in their profiles, the LGBTQ directory features not only those who have shared this information but also those who assert specialized training or experience in providing support to queer individuals, couples or families.
