Trauma, grief, stress, and life transitions significantly impact our lives and functioning. If unaddressed, these challenges can feel unmanageable. They can cause you to feel hopeless, misunderstood, ashamed, and isolated. They can cause you to feel trapped in patterns of emotions, thoughts, and behaviors, patterns you adapted to cope and survive, but which may no longer serve you. I believe all humans have an immense capacity to heal and grow. I also know that sometimes we get stuck and can benefit from some extra support. If you are feeling stuck, I am here to support you with finding your way out.

I work with spiritually curious, high-achieving people who don't just want to cope with pain, fear, or challenge. They want to evolve through it. Something in your life is not responding to the level of intelligence and commitment you've thrown at it. You can see it. You understand it. And it's not changing. Your body and health are paying the price. You're giving your power away in the same relationships. You cannot get past the ceiling that has nothing to do with your talent or your effort. You know there is more. There is. I facilitate a relationship between who you truly are and every part of you that has forgotten that.

My expertise involves working primarily with mental health clinicians and other providers who have experienced various forms of wounding, including sexual abuse, physical & emotional abuse, domestic violence, neglect and have found minimal healing from other therapy.
We can feel stuck, overwhelmed & burdened holding on to events & beliefs from the past. I use Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, EMDR, mindfulness, art and somatic interventions to aid in the healing and recovery process. I believe through the therapy relationship and uncovering the clients' unconscious wisdom the repair and healing that needs to happen can occur.

If you’re used to feeling like you have to hold it all together, like your emotions are too much or too heavy to share, you’re not alone. I work with individuals who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected and want to better understand themselves and feel more grounded. Therapy with me is meant to feel like a space where you can exhale. I bring a warm, down-to-earth approach and create a space where you can be fully yourself—without pressure to rush or minimize what you’re feeling. I’ll meet you where you are and be with you in it, for as long as you need.

I work with both men & women who have experienced trauma, neglect, abuse, or any relational wound that continue to cause pain.
I believe that true healing has to incorporate the whole person. If you have experienced trauma or just feel stuck in your life, talk therapy may only get you part of the way. By allowing healing to take place on different levels of our consciousness, we can truly heal. I incorporate neuroscience and brain functioning, emotional regulation, and body-focused therapy to provide a holistic healing approach. I also do EMDR. I have 32 years of experience in the mental health field working with a variety of disorders.

You may have tried talk therapy in the past and now feel stuck. You may be looking for a different approach to heal difficult feelings or trauma or to re-program old stories and beliefs and move past what holds you back from the life you truly deserve. Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy is a form of therapy that can help people go deeper into their experiences and heal at a subconscious level, achieving longer-lasting change. Ketamine is a safe, legal medicine that can induce psychedelic states in a gentle way. It is a dissociative and can create a sense of safety and distance from experiences that may be avoided during talk therapy.

You may be carrying a lot right now - anxiety, relationship stress, grief, self-doubt, or the quiet feeling that something in your life isn’t working anymore. Therapy can be a place to slow down, make sense of what’s happening, and begin reconnecting with yourself. If you’re here, something in you is asking for care, and that’s worth listening to. I work with adolescents and adults who feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, disconnected from themselves, stuck in painful relationship patterns, or unsure how to move forward in a new season of life.

Domestic Abuse Therapists
What are the most effective ways to recover from domestic abuse?
Leaving an abusive relationship requires tremendous courage, so survivors in treatment should recognize that they have already completed the most important step. Still, the trauma of physical or emotional abuse can be difficult to process and overcome. Therapy can help survivors process trauma, grief, and difficult emotions, treat relevant mental health symptoms, and create a new framework for boundaries and relationships in the future. For some, support groups can also be an invaluable outlet for healing.

When should an individual seek help for domestic abuse?
Victims of intimate partner violence should seek help immediately. It can take substantial time, planning, energy, and courage to leave an abusive relationship, but starting the process—by seeking therapy, calling the domestic violence hotline, or simply confiding in a loved one—will help them get there. Those who have left abusive relationships but haven’t sought treatment can also greatly benefit from therapy to process and heal from the experience.

What are the consequences of staying in an abusive relationship?
Remaining in an abusive relationship has serious repercussions. In addition to the ongoing threat of physical danger and emotional abuse, research shows that intimate partner violence is associated with a range of mental health disorders including depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, and substance abuse. Therefore it’s important for individuals in an abusive relationship to seek help as soon as possible.

How can you get domestic abuse treatment for someone else?
It can be very complicated to identify and leave an abusive relationship; barriers include the threat of violence, financial instability, and family pressures. Those concerned about a loved one in an abusive relationship should talk to them about the situation, provide them with resources such as the domestic violence hotline, and introduce the idea of seeing a therapist due to their concern for the person’s safety and well-being.
