I'm a listener, empath, and relational therapist with an emphasis working with depression , trauma, body image, self-esteem, and anxiety.
You are tired of feeling like you aren't enough. You are tired of looking for the answer outside of yourself-the diet, the booze, the relationship-and are ready to come home to yourself. Ready to love yourself. You are worthy of telling your story and being held in a safe space. You are worthy of investing in yourself to gain insight and tools to navigate life differently. You are enough exactly as you are.

If you could add one person to your life that would’ve changed everything, who would that be? A parent, sibling, mentor? Together, we’ll take on whatever is keeping you trapped in your depression and anxiety.
The days are blurring together. There’s a pressure in your chest that won’t go away. It’s hard to breathe because you are so overwhelmed. You see everything that’s not working but feel out of control. Distracting yourself with friends, alcohol, exercise, etc. used to work. Now, you’re stuck at home, unable to distract yourself for long. You hate who you are. Up to this point, you were surviving, but you want more. You think, “if only I wasn’t so sensitive.” Your whole life you’ve felt small, judged, shamed. There has to be more. You don’t want to be that person anymore, and you need help. You need someone to see the real you.

My practice is focused on helping individuals struggling with eating disorders, depression , anxiety, life transitions, grief and infertility issues. I was trained from a psychodynamic perspective, which I integrate with other techniques and orientations and consider myself very relational in my approach. In other words, I view current problems as having roots in past events and patterns, but believe change is achieved through collaboration and active participation in the present moment.

***Virtual online therapy only at this time.*** Life can become difficult at times. We have fears and regrets, anxieties and sorrows, insecurities and doubts. People are searching for greater happiness, healthier relationships, increased meaning, and rewarding accomplishments. But despite these challenges, I believe we all have the power to overcome. Bodies can be transformed, hearts can be healed, fears can be conquered, and depression can be overcome. The act of being seen, heard, and understood is healing in and of itself. My approach to therapy is one of being very genuine and often mixing in humor.

I help my clients navigate the human experience and issues related to trauma, relationships, depression , anxiety, substance use/addiction, LGBTQIA+ concerns, and identity development.
Being human is messy and we all struggle at times, you are not alone! Embarking on a journey towards healing can feel intimidating, which is why finding a trusted helper matters. I believe that my clients are the experts of their own experiences and that therapy should be individualized to their needs and worldview. I place importance on creating space for my clients to feel their emotions, express themselves authentically, and explore their change process, through a kind, supportive, and empathic relationship.

Depression Therapists
Depressive disorders are characterized by persistent feelings of sadness and worthlessness and a lack of desire to engage in formerly pleasurable activities. Depression is not a passing blue mood, which almost everyone experiences from time to time, but a complex mind/body illness that interferes with everyday functioning. It not only darkens one's outlook, it is commonly marked by sleep problems and changes in energy levels and appetite. It alters the structure and function of nerve cells so that it disrupts the way the brain processes information and interprets experience.

Despite feelings of hopelessness and worthlessness, depression is a treatable condition. It can be treated with psychotherapy. As with many illnesses, the earlier treatment begins, the more effective it can be and the greater the likelihood that recurrence can be prevented.

Psychotherapy addresses the thinking patterns that precipitate depression, and studies show that it prevents recurrence. Drug therapy is often helpful in relieving symptoms, such as severe anxiety, so that people can engage in meaningful psychotherapy.
