I work with couples, young adults, adults, and older adults, who are navigating high-functioning anxiety, chronic pain, trauma, grief, relationship distress, inter generational-trauma, and major life transitions. I work with individuals and couples who feel stuck in patterns that haven’t shifted despite years of insight or traditional therapy. Many of the people I work with are thoughtful and self-aware but continue to find themselves caught in cycles of anxiety, disconnection, or relationship conflict.

In therapy, I tend to take a collaborative, egalitarian approach to treatment. I am open and nonjudgmental, and I take special time to tailor treatment approaches to fit each individual therapeutic relationship. I practice from a predominately existential-phenomenological framework where individual needs, meaning-making, and pursuit of happiness are emphasized. I also incorporate elements of cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, IFS (Internal Family Systems) based techniques, expressive arts intervention, and attachment theory as needed.

I am deeply honored and grateful to work with clients who are committed to challenging beliefs, behaviors, and habits that no longer serve them and hinder their true self-expression. We are all on a personal journey to confront and heal from past attachment trauma wounds. Like you, I have battled feelings of unworthiness and sought value through people-pleasing and codependency, among other coping mechanisms for trauma and sexual assault. All your behaviors serve a purpose for your survival and resilience. With this understanding, we can embrace self-compassion, which is where deep healing begins.

Are you low-key (or high-key) stressed out by almost everything lately? Are your relationships more tense than free-flowing? Maybe you're looking forward to your drinks after work, more intensely than ever before. The stresses of daily life are piling up. First responders, parents, and anyone stressed out.

You overthink everything, even a simple text. You want to feel confident and calm, but anxiety and self-doubt keep pulling you into self-criticism and second-guessing. You’re hard on yourself, stuck in your head, and exhausted from trying to get it all “right.” I help women who feel anxious, self-critical, and stuck in frustrating relationship patterns stop spiraling, build self-trust, and create the kind of connection they’re really looking for.

I work with women who feel something calling them — a quiet signal that life could be lived more fully, more authentically, more from the inside out. Whether you're navigating a low-grade sense that something is off, or standing at a genuine crossroads, my work is depth-oriented, somatic, and trauma-informed. I'm not here to fix you. I'm here to help you remember who you already are. My approach draws on somatic practices, depth psychology, and the alchemy of community. I believe transformation doesn't come from massive behavioral change — it comes from tiny, intentional shifts made with awareness and self-compassion over time.

FAQ - Therapist Gender
Does it matter what gender my therapist is?
In general, there is no relationship between a therapist’s gender and their efficacy. Some clients, however, prefer to see therapists of a particular gender, whether due to their own past experiences with men and women, or because they feel more comfortable with a therapist of their own gender due to shared life experiences or perspectives. Considering what one wants to address in therapy can help someone determine whether their therapist’s gender may matter or improve their therapeutic experience. The most important consideration is that a client is able to build a trusting relationship with their therapist.

Should I see a female therapist?
Many people—not just women—prefer to see a female therapist. For women, this could be because they believe that they will be able to better connect with a woman, and that a female therapist will be able to relate to their specific challenges and personal issues. It may be particularly beneficial for women to see a female therapist, for example, for gender-specific issues, such as sexism in the workplace, relationship issues, and gender roles. The most important factor in therapy is the client-therapist connection, and a therapist's gender as well as many other factors may play an important role in this.

Do therapists get specific training to help with women’s concerns?
Therapists are trained to provide care to clients of any gender. However, some therapists may pursue additional training in feminist therapy, gender-specific issues, or women’s mental health. Female clients may wish to ask prospective therapists whether they have received specific training in the client’s primary area(s) of concern, or whether they have worked extensively with women on issues similar to their own.

How can I inquire about a therapist’s experience in treating women?
It’s OK—even encouraged!—to ask a therapist directly whether and how often they have treated women in the past, or whether they have treated women dealing with the client’s most prominent concern(s). Competent therapists will be happy to share their educational background, preferred treatment modalities, and prior client experience to help an individual find the therapist best suited to their needs.
