I specialize in providing analytical psychotherapy & supervision. My hope is to help you look inward and discover how to live a more meaningful life. Each of us can understand our individuation story, find the courage to go beyond limiting narratives, and make the shift to align with our true self. Using an Analytical Psychology perspective, I offer individual and group psychotherapy, as well as clinical supervision, to facilitate deep transformation that continues long after our work is completed.

As humans we experience suffering (painful emotional states). This is normal...but what happens when you feel stuck here; reliving old patterns from unhealed wounds? It's likely that your nervous system is overwhelmed and under-resourced in an already stressful world. As you attempt to cope the best way you've learned how, you may turn towards substances, work excessively, fill your time with mindless distractions, obsessively striving to "get somewhere", maybe hyper-focusing on others or avoiding them. These unconscious and automatic behaviors likely come from a loving/wise part that is trying to keep you safe from discomfort.

I'm an Art Therapist and Transpersonal Counselor. I like to think of it as combining creative processing with soul-centered psychotherapy -- I love helping people transform through images. I counsel people who long for emotional/spiritual clarity and purpose, but feel overwhelmed by fear, shame, and grief. Through art therapy, transpersonal counseling, and EMDR, I support clients through the process of exploring neglected areas of the self, so they can find meaning and direction in their lives. EMDR is an evidence-based treatment approach which can improve self-esteem and process difficult past experience and emotions.

Centered in the HEART of Loveland, Colorado and licensed in WY, NM, TX, NV, D.C. and FL for Telehealth sessions, I'm a Relationship & AASECT-Certified Sex Therapist. I also offer Ketamine-assisted sessions as an adjunct to therapy for both couples and individuals. Psychedelics provide us a chance to get past the walls and have glimpses into our unconscious, where we can uncover deep-rooted emotional content that hinders us in our daily lives. They also allow us to tap into our innate healing intelligence which guides us to go beyond the limits of our personal identity. In my practice, I offer Transpersonal Healing for Your Soul.

My approach combines transpersonal , cognitive behavioral and client centered counseling techniques.
I have counseled clients with addictions and trauma successfully for over 30 years. I also specialize in teaching clients’ new ways to cope with symptoms of anxiety, depression, grief, and more. I feel strongly that we have within ourselves the ability to heal and that with some guidance and tools, we can find creative solutions to our own problems and use these problems as motivation to improve. My counseling style is warm and interactive. I think it's very important to meet the client where they currently are in their journey and work from that point.

I work from orientations including mindfulness, gestalt, and transpersonal .
I believe in healing through therapeutic relationship. Establishing trust creates a safe container in which to experience change. I am LGBTQIA+-allied, BIPOC-allied, and I also work with cis-white folx who are working on reducing their contribution to and healing trauma associated with white supremacy and capitalist patriarchy. My graduate work was at Naropa University, where I deeply connected with the Buddhist roots of my education. I welcome people from all religions and backgrounds.

We all have spirit. The spirit to move toward meaning in this limited time we have. We often need support in this chaotic world, to speak our truth- And a space to set expectations aside but for an hour at a time. To decide what we want to be and how we want to show up in this moment. And what we want to leave behind as a legacy to family, community, and the world. It would be a privilege to provide a space for you to explore this.

In our work together, you will learn how to relate to yourself and the painful realities of life skillfully. To begin, I'll support you in slowly turning attention inward while remaining grounded and open. From this connected space, we'll inquire into the thoughts, behaviors, emotions, and sensations that color your experience of life. Naturally, unresolved trauma and grief will call attention to themselves. We'll meet them together, with genuine curiosity and compassion. Insights emerge both spontaneously and gradually when relating in this way and 'the work' begins to feel more authentic, enjoyable, and healing.

You’re struggling with past painful experiences impacting your current relationships & preventing you from living life on your terms. Past therapists with traditional, rigid & impersonal approaches were not helpful for you; leaving you feeling that nothing will ever help or change. I believe healing is possible & therapy incorporating an understanding of oppressive systems we navigate can provide a space to heal. Challenging internal messaging rooted in trauma & systems of oppression can help turn off the auto-pilot or get off the merry-go-round to live a life of meaningful choice, authenticity, connection, belonging & joy.

Transpersonal Therapists

How does transpersonal therapy work?

Transpersonal therapy focuses on a patient’s spirituality and meaning in life. Transpersonal therapists might borrow from Eastern traditions as well as Western psychology. They may incorporate techniques including meditation, visualization, hypnotherapy, dream analysis, and or breathwork to produce altered states of consciousness. The therapist helps the patient to access their consciousness and spirituality to work through difficult mental states.

How long does transpersonal therapy last?

Because the goal is to understand a person as a whole, including their spirituality, treatment can range from months to a year or beyond. While patients learn the philosophy behind transpersonal therapy during treatment, they can also practice its principles throughout life after therapy sessions have ended.

Is transpersonal therapy effective?

Patients have found success with transpersonal therapy; this method is useful in improving anxiety, depression, self-esteem, identity, fears, relationship problems, and other concerns. Improvements in problem areas can continue even after transpersonal therapy ends, as individuals can utilize the tools they’ve learned during treatment sessions.

What are the limitations of transpersonal therapy?

There is some research on the effectiveness of transpersonal therapy, but empirical support for this therapy approach is sparse. It does not have the robust evidence base of other forms of therapy, such as cognitive behavioral therapy or acceptance and commitment therapy.
