Hi there! I am a therapist who works with individuals and couples of all ages and backgrounds. I help those experiencing a wide range of mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship issues, stress, loneliness, and more. As an active travel guide, yoga teacher, and outdoor therapist, my true passion lies in the combination of nature, movement, and mental health therapy - a practice commonly known as "eco-" or "adventure-" therapy. My therapeutic approach is person-centered and focuses on the individual needs of each unique client.

I have worked with many indiividuals and couples, and what separates those who benefit from therapy are the people motivated and courageous enought to peek into their blind spots, and as well as committed to learning from sometimes painful trial and error experiences of being human. I specialize in synergetic play therapy with children, yet also see individuals and couples. I am trained in an experiential, neurobiological and attachment based approach to therapy. I want to create a safe, non-judgemental place for clients to process their experience. Sometimes the fears, frustrations and areas of getting stuck in life can be difficult to navigate alone. I hope to give you the tools for living life in congruence with your true and best self. I seek balance and allowance for all of the parts of ourselves. We were told a lie. Go to college, get a job, get married, buy a house, have babies, and you'll live a perfect life. What a crock. Adulthood is way more confusing and people haven't exactly been candid about it. None of us were taught how to find affordable places to live, navigate global disasters, or deal with an anxiety provoking career climate. We weren't given clear instructions for what healthy dating looks like either. What's worse is that so many people don't want to hear about it. So we're left wondering what to do. The good news is that nobody knows what they're doing so we're all in this together: no judging allowed.

I believe in empowering my clients to recognize the strengths in themselves to deal with life's challenges. For 20 years, I have provided therapy to children, adolescents and families in the areas of anxiety, depression, trauma, attachment, parenting and divorce. I work collaboratively with my clients to identify their treatment goals and believe in the importance of establishing a trusting therapeutic relationship to affect change. I use a variety of therapeutic approaches based on the individual needs and goals of the client. My work with youth addresses increasing self-awareness, building self-esteem and problem solving.

As a therapist, I take a relationship-based, psychodynamic, and trauma-informed approach. I am currently undergoing training in trauma work (EMDR) and addiction work (LAC) that I can incorporate into therapy as appropriate.
