I use trauma informed practices including a combination of EMDR, parts work, mindfulness and somatic practices.
I strive to create a therapeutic space that feels non-judgmental, open, and genuinely supportive. In our work together, you’ll have room to explore both your struggles and your strengths while learning to trust the wisdom you already carry within yourself. I view therapy as a collaborative process. You are the expert on your life, and I honor your pace and timing. As a social worker, I consider the full context of your experience, including family dynamics and systems that may impact your well-being. I practice cultural humility and strive to be an affirming ally to BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities.

I am trained in EMDR, as well as EMDR Peak Performance Coaching for athletes and creatives, use parts work and somatic techniques to help create harmony between the body and the mind, and often like to integrate healing from the Earth.
Hi. I'm Ray, an explorer, healer, and lover of the natural world. I have an MA from Naropa University, where I partook in their Transpersonal Wilderness Therapy program. Many clients come to me when they are feeling stuck and lost in life, because of blocks and past beliefs that cloud their inner skies. I am passionate about helping women step into their true power. My job, as a therapist and guide, is to help clients clear up past traumas and blocks so they can live their best life and reconnect with the Higher Self. I offer Telehealth sessions for anyone in Colorado and I have limited availability in-person in Salida, CO.

I draw from Jungian depth psychology, Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness, somatic experiencing, art therapy, and dream analysis.
Life's most challenging moments—whether it's a painful loss, a major transition, or trauma that won't let go—can leave us feeling disconnected from ourselves and unsure of the path forward. If you're here, you're likely facing something significant, and you're ready to find your way through it. I work with adults navigating life transitions, grief, loss, and trauma. My approach is rooted in the belief that you already carry within you the wisdom needed for healing—my role is to help you access it.

You’re holding it together on the outside, but on the inside the cracks are starting to show. Maybe it’s the performance anxiety that paralyzes you, or the trauma that sneaks up on you at the worst possible moment. ADHD doesn’t help either, turning a quick trip to grab feed into a two-hour escapade that ends with a reorganized tack room but no grain in sight. You keep telling yourself, I’ve got this, but deep down, you’re tired of holding it all together with duct tape, caffeine, and a prayer.

I draw from a combination of therapeutic modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment, Cognitive Behavioral, Internal family systems, Meditation, Self Compassion training, and Somatic techniques.
Asking for help is a vulnerable and courageous act. Keep going! Alongside the joy and wonder this life can bring, we will also be struck by grief, major life changes, trauma, relationship struggles, acute or chronic stress, and crises of mental, spiritual or physical health. Sometimes we need help. Therapy with a provider that you feel safe and understood by can help you to reach your goals.

My therapeutic approach includes Somatic Experiencing, IFS, psychodynamic therapy, ketamine-assisted therapy and state legal psilocybin-assisted therapy.
Somatic therapy brings your awareness of your body and nervous system into the process of therapy. As we explore your concerns and challenges we can also begin to notice and track what's happening in the body at the same time. Ketamine-assisted therapy can support further deepening into this work within a safe therapeutic container.

With genuine curiosity and compassion, I integrate CBT, DBT, EFT, somatic work, mindfulness, and IFS/parts work to support emotional healing, self-understanding, and lasting change.
My clients are often thoughtful, self-aware people who have spent years trying to cope, push through, overthink, or care for everyone else first. Others come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or like life has simply become too much to carry alone. Either way, together, we create space to explore the deeper patterns underneath anxiety, self-doubt, and overwhelm while building a more grounded and authentic way of living. I work with adults who want more than symptom management alone — many are longing to feel more connected to themselves, their relationships, and the life they're living.

I often utilize EMDR with Internal Family Systems intertwined when treating trauma, which both have a natural somatic component.
Whew! It's hard to be a human, isn't it? There are so many demands all around us, often complicated by hardships and things out of our control. I'm committed to providing you a safe environment where I will support you with compassion and understanding. You deserve an unbiased space to be heard, make changes, process the hard stuff and empower you to feel comfortable in your own skin. I am knowledgeable in trauma, mood disorders, life changes, woman's issues and behavioral concerns. I integrate holistic practices with skill building to treat the entire person, just as mental health care should be.

Do you ever find yourself questioning if there is more to life, going through a life transition, or simply not feeling quite like yourself? You are not alone. These feelings are a natural part of being human, and there are times when we all need some extra support in our lives. I firmly believe that healing is attainable for those who have the desire, the necessary support, and the willingness to actively engage in their path towards well-being. I am trained in EMDR and Somatic Experiencing.
Spiritual counseling shifts allegiance from the exhaustive world of self to the world of spirit. Working to release the bondage of conditioned ideas of "me" by accessing the knowing of the soul and divinity of one's Being. This work attends to wounds, traumas and negative core beliefs through the lens of only one calamity: the denial of one's divine nature.

How does somatic therapy work?
Somatic therapy is a form of treatment that focuses on how the body and mind are interconnected. In this approach, physical symptoms are addressed because they may in fact signal emotional distress. Somatic therapists combine mindfulness, talk therapy, breathwork, yoga, dance, and physical manipulations of the body to help patients become more attuned to what their body is telling them.

Is EMDR a somatic therapy?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a form of somatic therapy, as it incorporates mental and physical principles. EMDR involves remembering a traumatic experience while allowing one’s eyes to track a side-to-side visual stimulus from a therapist. This lateral eye movement is believed to diminish the painful power of the memory so that it can be discussed with a therapist.

Is somatic therapy evidence-based?
Somatic therapy has been researched and studied, and some forms of somatic therapy are found to be effective in treating a wide range of conditions. Because somatic therapy encompasses many techniques, some, such as EMDR and meditation, have been studied more than others.

What is somatic trauma therapy?
Somatic trauma therapy is based on the idea that when people experience trauma, they can become stuck in the “freeze” part of a “fight, flight, or freeze” response. In this state, trauma can manifest itself both mentally and physically—through tension in the muscles, anxiety, and stress. Popular forms of somatic trauma therapy include EMDR, sensorimotor therapy, and somatic experiencing.
