I help individuals navigating perinatal mental health challenges, neurodivergent professionals, and first- and second-generation adults to understand themselves more fully so they can move through their lives with greater clarity, authenticity, and intention.
Many of my clients are Asian Americans, engineers, attorneys, moms and moms-to-be, or other detail-oriented, intellectually driven adults. What connects all of these experiences is a thoughtful, self-aware adult just like you, who holds themselves to high standards, has rarely found a space where their full complexity is understood, and is ready to invest in one. I can help.

I work with teens and adults who carry deep emotional pain, often rooted in early experiences that left parts of them stuck in self-loathing, shame, or cycles of painful rumination. These parts can feel isolated, unheard, or frozen in time, leading to patterns of inner criticism and emotional overwhelm. Together, we gently create space for these wounded parts to be seen, heard, and understood—often for the first time. Using a trauma-informed lens, I help clients build internal safety, reconnect with their innate strengths, and foster self-compassion, allowing for more integrated and empowered ways of being.

Being a teen or young adult today can feel like constantly juggling expectations, emotions, the "who REALLY am I" or "what do I want for myself," or the pressure to have it all figured out — it's so exhausting. Therapy can be a space to sort through it all as a team. My name is Dani (they/them) and together, we’ll find ways to move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

Ever felt like a part of you is desperate to change while another is terrified to let go? This isn’t a sign of being broken; it is the hallmark of a complex, protective internal system. My approach honors this by utilizing IFS to engage these parts with compassion, unburdening the trauma they’ve carried to keep you safe. To support this deep work, I integrate DBT to build the distress tolerance and emotional regulation needed for a "secure base." Simultaneously, CPT helps identify and challenge stuck points, those distorted beliefs about safety and trust that trauma often leaves behind.

Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) Therapists
How does acceptance and commitment therapy work?
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy encourages a person to listen to their self-talk. A person’s inner dialog can be indicative of how they treat themselves. ACT also encourages self-compassion; this can lead to a better understanding of negative thought patterns and emotional states. This understanding can then lead the individual to needed behavior change.
What are the goals of acceptance and commitment therapy?
The goal of acceptance and commitment is to expand a person’s psychological flexibility, a trait that encourages an individual to live in the present moment and to accept all their thoughts, feelings, and emotions, even ones that are difficult such as sadness and anxiety. In ACT, this acceptance is congruent with the individual’s values and beliefs.
Does acceptance and commitment therapy work for depression?
Acceptance and commitment therapy is effective for depression because it allows the individual to view their discomfort and suffering differently. Depressive feelings about relationship heartaches, for example, are a part of life. A despondent person learns to let go of their struggles and instead view their painful thoughts and feelings with compassion. This will lead the individual toward positive change.
How long are people typically in acceptance and commitment therapy?
A typical acceptance and commitment therapy session is 50 minutes long with one session per week. Treatment for common problems such as anxiety, depression, or relationship difficulties can last between eight weeks to four months. However, more severe cases may require more than one session a week and/or a longer time frame for treatment.
