In addition to traditional talk therapy, I incorporate mindfulness practices, trauma processing modalities, and somatic development to help clients find their own sense of balance.
When you are in that constant battle between your head and your heart, and feeling stuck it can be difficult to create change for yourself. Learning how to identify, map out, and integrate what your heart and body is needing with what your brain is saying is where I specialize. My unique approach is to identify and re-establish connections between the body and brain, so we can address any behaviors or loops no longer serving you. I am passionate about providing methods in my practice to better reorganize your experiences and find cohesion between your thoughts and feelings. Together, I can assist you to fill your wellness toolbox!

I use Internal Family Systems, Somatic Experiencing, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and EMDR to help clients tune into their bodies, calm anxiety, and feel curious about their protective parts.
You may find yourself caught in an anxious loop—ruminating, fortune-telling, and feeling stuck in patterns you can’t quite shift. My clients are adults who struggle with chronic anxiety, low self-esteem, self-doubt, and relationship wounds. They feel pressure in their bodies, racing thoughts in their minds, and a sense that something important is missing. Many of the people I work with want to slow down and be more present—but without guilt or the weight of feeling responsible for everyone else’s emotions. They’re seeking not just relief, but a deeper, more grounded connection to themselves and their lives.

I am trained in EMDR trauma treatment, Prolonged Exposure and somatic processing work.
When stressed, those who've experienced trauma can have intensification of symptoms (sleep issues, isolation, crying, anxiety, sadness, hopelessness). This can be indicative of PTSD. Instead of "what's wrong with you?" let's ask "what happened to you?" Fortunately, there are evidenced-based treatments to help you heal from life's wounds. If you've been struggling, reach out to talk with me about your potential for healing. My work/training focuses on trauma work; I can create a unique treatment plan tailored for your walk towards wellness. A healthy life awaits you. Recover. Regain. Relive.

Therapy with me is collaborative, thoughtful, and deeply curious. Rather than rushing toward solutions, we'll slow down enough to understand the patterns that have quietly developed over time and the ways your mind, body, and relationships have adapted to your experiences. Together, we'll make sense of what you're carrying, explore the ways your nervous system has learned to protect you, and create space for new ways of relating to yourself and others. I believe healing begins not by becoming someone different, but by understanding yourself with greater clarity and compassion.

Life can be meaningful and exciting, but circumstances and choices often cause problems that seem so complex there appears no way out. Though most people know deep down what they need, it sometimes takes another person to help them figure out what steps to take.

Somatic Therapists
How does somatic therapy work?
Somatic therapy is a form of treatment that focuses on how the body and mind are interconnected. In this approach, physical symptoms are addressed because they may in fact signal emotional distress. Somatic therapists combine mindfulness, talk therapy, breathwork, yoga, dance, and physical manipulations of the body to help patients become more attuned to what their body is telling them.

Is EMDR a somatic therapy?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a form of somatic therapy, as it incorporates mental and physical principles. EMDR involves remembering a traumatic experience while allowing one’s eyes to track a side-to-side visual stimulus from a therapist. This lateral eye movement is believed to diminish the painful power of the memory so that it can be discussed with a therapist.

Is somatic therapy evidence-based?
Somatic therapy has been researched and studied, and some forms of somatic therapy are found to be effective in treating a wide range of conditions. Because somatic therapy encompasses many techniques, some, such as EMDR and meditation, have been studied more than others.

What is somatic trauma therapy?
Somatic trauma therapy is based on the idea that when people experience trauma, they can become stuck in the “freeze” part of a “fight, flight, or freeze” response. In this state, trauma can manifest itself both mentally and physically—through tension in the muscles, anxiety, and stress. Popular forms of somatic trauma therapy include EMDR, sensorimotor therapy, and somatic experiencing.
