Are you trying hard to "be normal” and "do what you're supposed to do", but left feeling drained, anxious, and deeply unfulfilled from living for the approval of others instead of following your own internal compass? Beginning this journey can kick off a messy unraveling (think less “butterfly emerging” and more “blazing dumpster fire that keeps reigniting”) because unlearning what made up our original foundation can shake everything we built on top of that. But with every collapse will come growth and if you're willing to hold on, you can make it through—and come out stronger, wiser, and more equipped for whatever comes next.

I work with children, teens, and adults to address a range of issues related to trauma, life changes, depression, anxiety, ADHD, and Autism. I also have experience working with people who have traumatic brain injuries and developmental disabilities. My background is in forensic psychology, and I have worked with legally involved individuals; I currently volunteer as a victim advocate. People reach out to me to process trauma, improve relationships, learn new coping skills, and better understand themselves.

It can be difficult to recognize and accept that we need support and then challenging to find the right therapist when looking for that support. I believe we all have our own unique experiences and stories, and sometimes we can get stuck in the discomfort and pain from past and present trauma. I strive to create a safe and supportive space for clients to share these struggles and stories. Through collaboration, active listening, and being genuinely present for my clients, I work to promote trust, self-awareness, acceptance, healing, and growth.

Many of the clients I work with are thoughtful, self-aware individuals who still feel stuck in patterns they can’t fully explain. They may be navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, identity questions, or major life transitions. Some feel pressure to meet expectations from family, culture, or society while trying to understand who they truly are. I work best with clients who are curious about themselves and open to exploring how their experiences, beliefs, and emotions shape the way they move through the world.

With my master's degree in Human Services Counseling, I have worked extensively in child trauma, and am specifically trained in domestic violence, teen pregnanacy, teen parenting, grief and loss, addiction, and parenting support. I find the exploration of generational family systems an effective platform for helping to first understand and then work towards breaking unhealthy cycles. Recognizing relationship themes and building healthy relationships and boundaries are foundations to my counseling.

Are you struggling to connect? Do you find yourself "reliving" traumas or continuing with toxic cycles? Are you living or are you just surviving? If these questions resonate with you, Counseling Professionals PLLC may be the right choice for you. Everyone has a story, and no story is the same. As humans, we need a space to “just be” before we can make change.

I believe we heal and grow both through feeling understood and accepted as well as understanding and accepting ourselves. There's no one “right” way to be human, and therapy should reflect that. I prioritize a collaborative, integrative, identity affirming approach to therapy that aligns with your experiences, goals, and needs. My work is grounded in person-centered and identity-affirming care, drawing from Relational Cultural Theory, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Somatic approaches, Child-Centered Play Therapy, and trauma-informed practices.

I believe that change—though often challenging and uncomfortable—is the one constant in life that brings about true growth. It’s natural to want to avoid discomfort, but leaning into these moments of uncertainty is where transformation begins. I hold the belief that everyone has an innate capacity for change and resilience, no matter what life throws their way.

My ideal client doesn’t need to have it all figured out—they just need a willingness to show up. They may feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure how to move forward, but there’s a part of them that wants something to change. I work well with people who feel scattered or weighed down yet still have moments of curiosity or drive. Those small openings become the starting point for building clarity, direction, and meaningful progress.

In my decade of experience, I have worked with various concerns. I believe that we develop through life experiences, from traumatic moments to everyday choices, and to feel whole, we need to examine the different parts of ourselves. I concentrate on these aspects by exploring how you create and narrate your life story. I am passionate about working with teens and young adults; however, I am also confident in working with individuals in all stages of life. Additionally, I recognize the impact of trauma in these narratives and believe in the importance of healing from that trauma.
