If you’re open to it, we can use art materials and creative processes as tools for reflection, problem-solving, and integration—no artistic skills required.
I am dedicated to creating a safe and supportive space where you can heal and grow. I take an eclectic approach, blending evidence-based techniques to explore what resonates most with you. I provide a compassionate, non-judgmental space where you can let go of the burdens that weigh on you. As we work together, I will offer the validation, understanding, and support you deserve on your journey to self-discovery and healing.

Grounded in Humanistic and Trauma-Focused care, I integrate expressive Art and Play Therapy to foster healing and resilience.
I think it is important to understand how my client’s values and personal background affect the choices they make in their daily lives, and how those choices support them or prevent them from reaching their goals. The techniques I use can include assessment, exploring emotions, self-esteem work, looking at a situation from all angles, identifying past trauma, and active listening. I want my clients to feel confident and supported during therapy, and I hope that my sessions will provide a safe space where they can share openly and work towards their goals.

New beginnings come with more emotions than we know. Some come with worry, some with excitement, but more often than not, new beginnings come with fear. Fear of the unknown. I understand that fear and it is why I prioritize understanding my clients' emotions when they take the leap to begin therapy. Whether it is with a new therapist in a new city or for the first time ever, emotions are exposed and support is needed. I believe that healing is a risky journey, but a journey where support is waiting. I strive to provide each client with the individualized support they need in order to heal and discover their next new beginning.

Art therapy uses tools that make traditional talk therapy an embodied experience.
If you're new to art therapy you may not have known creativity can unlock deeper understanding and connection. Sometimes we get stuck on a judgmental message from 1st grade that we aren’t “good” at artmaking. Well, I say forget that! You ARE inherently creative and it’s okay to explore your whys and hows using the logical AND intuitive sides of your brain.

Hello and welcome! I am so glad you're here. The human journey is inevitably messy at times. Despite the chaotic and confusing, there is always beauty to be discovered. I believe every individual is deserving of connection, compassion, pleasure, and healing - even you! Often, shame can stand in the way, leaving us feeling stuck or unworthy. My work is rooted in the belief that healing doesn’t mean fixing what’s broken - it’s about reconnecting with the parts of yourself that have been hidden or silenced, reclaiming and liberating yourself, and showing up in your community with vulnerability and love.

I am passionate about providing a safe place for people to feel accepted, heard, and seen. I desire to walk alongside individuals on their journey to heal, grow, and become more of who they were made to be. I support clients in the process by providing tools, insight, and ways to process whatever unresolved stressors or patterns may be getting in the way of being where they want to be. I love using a mixture of techniques including talk and mind body modalities such as EMDR and Neuro Emotional Technique (NET). I am at Third Culture Kid (TCK) who grew up in Illinois and Brazil. I meet with clients in Colorado in person or video.

My hope is to support you while you become more in tune with your own body and gain awareness of what it needs to thrive – regardless of what you have endured. Your story matters, so honoring your lived experience is the main first step and then I want to be by your side as you navigate the waters of self-discovery. Connection is the word we are hearing about now more than ever for numerous reasons. Honestly, it is what humans are wired for yet we are feeling more disconnected as the years pass. Thankfully, our culture is starting to accept more and more that everything is connected.

I began my career in art education before transitioning into school counseling after seeing the growing need for mental health support in schools.
My approach is supportive, practical, and solution-focused. I work with teens and adults to better understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while developing tools to manage stress, anxiety, and everyday challenges. My goal is to create a space where clients feel safe, respected, and heard.

I am the life coach for therapists, healers, seekers, & dreamers. NO big Package by-ins--have 1 session at a time with no commitment--and I'll happily give referrals if I'm not the right healer for you. Good fits? Previous therapy experience, already has some understanding of personal 'stuck points' and want guidance, support, mentorship, & 'how-to' tools to live balanced, fulfilled, peaceful. Life is hard enough--easier with emotionally effective tools and strategies. I think my best work is in teaching people from difficult backgrounds how to fully, deeply, love and heal themselves, to get out of survival mode and into LIVING.

As an art therapist, I provide the opportunity to work with art as a form of expression, which can deepen the therapeutic process beyond that of just talk-therapy.
Art Therapy is especially successful for clients suffering from trauma, but you do not have to make art in our sessions. Although Art Therapy is for all ages, I specialize in working with adults. In addition to Art Therapy, I am also a trained Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapist. If you are interested in that work please reach out for more details.

Through mindfulness, guided meditations, EMDR, and art therapy, I provide clients opportunities to identify and challenge learned belief systems related to traumas and life experiences.
When we’re hurting or just going through a difficult time, so often we feel alone in our experiences. Depression, anxiety, trauma and loss can narrow our perspectives and make us feel disconnected from our loved ones and ourselves. In those moments, it can be hard to access our own sense of worth. I welcome all my clients with unconditional acceptance, wherever they are in their lives, and however they are feeling. I provide clients with tools that encourage and enhance a sense of well being, and offer a compassionate, welcoming, nonjudgmental space to help them connect with their own inner strength and wisdom.

Born and raised in Colorado, my education background includes a BFA from School of the Art Institute of Chicago (2015) and MSW from the University of Denver (2019), with an Animal Assisted Social Work Certificate.
I practice with a strong commitment to social justice in alignment with social work ethics. It is my desire to incorporate alternative elements into my therapeutic practice to bridge these gaps. I believe in the power of healing through alternative therapy, and I have experience incorporating art, horticulture, and animal assisted interventions.

Art Therapy Therapists
How does art therapy work?
The process of making art allows people to express themselves. Art-making can take many forms, such as painting, collage, or sculpting. The therapist asks questions that the work elicits, such as how the person felt while creating their piece, or if any memories surfaced that they can discuss. The therapist will then work with the patient to process their experience, understand themselves better, and work toward change.

Does art therapy help with trauma?
Art therapy can be a valuable treatment option for those suffering from trauma. Traumatic experiences such as combat, rape, or childhood abuse can be so painful that articulating them can be too scary or painful; creating art allows people to express themselves without words, and tell their story in a different way. The physical nature of creating art can also help people feel rooted in the body, which may benefit those who feel disconnected from their body in the aftermath of trauma.

How long does art therapy last?
The duration of art therapy varies, but a common length for treatment is 10 to 15 weekly sessions. Some people may see improvement in just a few weeks, while others may choose to remain in therapy longer term. Patients should periodically discuss their goals with their therapist to make sure the two are aligned on process and progress.

What are the limitations of art therapy?
Art therapy is helpful for many people, but a limitation is that it doesn’t have as robust an evidence base as other forms of therapy, such as cognitive behavioral therapy or acceptance and commitment therapy. The evidence on art therapy is mixed; some research demonstrates its benefits, while other research suggests that it has little impact on patients.
