Hello! I specialize in the treatment of addiction, anxiety, depression, trauma, and all related mental health struggles. My primary treatment modalities include CBT, DBT, IFS, and EMDR. Maintaining participation in and control of your life during treatment is paramount for recovery, therefore, I offer virtual treatment which has proven as effective as in-person. Complete abstinence may not be the primary goal, rather, harm reduction may be the goal as we work through trauma and current symptomology. I have an abundance of proven, effective tools to help you feel better today.

Are you trying hard to "be normal” and "do what you're supposed to do", but left feeling drained, anxious, and deeply unfulfilled from living for the approval of others instead of following your own internal compass? Beginning this journey can kick off a messy unraveling (think less “butterfly emerging” and more “blazing dumpster fire that keeps reigniting”) because unlearning what made up our original foundation can shake everything we built on top of that. But with every collapse will come growth and if you're willing to hold on, you can make it through—and come out stronger, wiser, and more equipped for whatever comes next.

My background includes work in nonprofit and community settings supporting youth and adolescents through difficult experiences.
Many of the clients I work with are thoughtful, self-aware individuals who still feel stuck in patterns they can’t fully explain. They may be navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, identity questions, or major life transitions. Some feel pressure to meet expectations from family, culture, or society while trying to understand who they truly are. I work best with clients who are curious about themselves and open to exploring how their experiences, beliefs, and emotions shape the way they move through the world.

Many of the people I work with are adolescents or adults who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward.
Therapy in my practice is active and experiential—we move. Sessions may involve walking, climbing, games, or hands-on activities while we talk and practice new skills. By combining experiential work with solution-focused strategies and strong relational support, clients often feel more engaged and less guarded than in traditional talk therapy.

FAQ - Teenage and Adolescent Therapists
What does therapy for teenagers look like?
When a therapist works with a teenager, the pair will talk about what the teen is struggling with and explore solutions, which may involve interpersonal skills, coping strategies, medication, or lifestyle changes related to sleep, diet, and exercise. Different therapists employ different modalities, but most involve a combination of conversation and skill building.

How long does therapy for teenagers generally take to work?
There’s variability in teenagers’ experiences and challenges; some may begin to improve from therapy within a few weeks while others may take several months or longer. Teens can discuss their progress with their therapist periodically to assess how they’re improving and any changes to the treatment plan that could potentially accelerate that progress.

How do you encourage a teenager to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love while framing therapy as an opportunity to explore a tool that could help improve their life; just like they practice baseball or dance, now they can practice their emotional skills. Give your teen control over the process where you can—maybe by weighing in on choice of therapist and signaling that therapy involves confidentiality, so a parent need not know all that is discussed in sessions.

How do you prepare teens for therapy?
You can prepare your teenager for therapy by describing what the process will look like and setting expectations for timeline, if requested. You can explain that the first session may begin with an assessment phase, that they can describe their experiences but that the therapist will ask questions too, and that it may take time to feel comfortable opening up. Ask how they’re feeling about the process and answer any questions calmly and supportively.
