I use a psychospiritual model to empower women to embrace their authentic voices in world that often tries to make them smaller.
My passion is to work with women who are stepping into the truth of who they are. I work with people who can no longer avoid the calling to go within, to find the answers to the hard questions, What am I hungry for? What is life asking of me? What am I here to do? Usually this begins with a fair amount of suffering and struggle, whether it's an encounter with an eating disorder, depression, anxiety, self-harm, or simply life confusion.

Fundamentally I believe that all people are innately whole. At our core, we are all kind, compassionate, and connected. Perhaps you have moments when you feel this way, and for a moment it feels like you have come home to yourself. This is who you really are. But most of us have wounding we have acquired in our lives. And this wounding has become internalized and turned into beliefs about ourselves, beliefs like "I am not enough" and "I don't belong." These beliefs often feel 100% real. Sometimes it feels like a vortex, sucking us into a dark pit. But these beliefs are not true- and together we can help you find your way back home.

As a therapist, my goal is to help you uncover your true potential. During times when we are overwhelmed or flooded by emotions it can be difficult to find solutions to lifes challenges. We can become frustrated by our tendency to repeat the same patterns over and over. In our therapy we will work toward establishing balance, positive coping skills and new strategies unique to your own strengths and potential. While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life.

I love to work with people who are wanting to improve the quality of their lives in such areas as personal growth, relationships, self-esteem, stress management, life and career path, authentic expression, women's health, addiction recovery, and understanding family dynamics.
The therapy process can help you to develop a deeper connection to your true feelings, more authentic communication, healthier and more satisfying relationships, a clearer path through life, and a sense of being more "yourself".
I take an eclectic approach, using talk therapy, dreamwork/play, creative expression, insight into family relationships, and exploring beliefs developed in childhood and the ways that they influence your current patterns and choices.

Does it matter what gender my therapist is?
In general, this is not an important factor, as there is no relationship between a therapist’s gender and their efficacy. Some clients, however, prefer to see therapists of a particular gender, whether due to their own past experiences with men and women, or ingrained beliefs about how people of different genders think and behave. Exploring the roots of such preferences and considering what one wants to address in therapy can help someone determine whether their therapist’s gender truly matters to them.
Should I see a female therapist?
Many people—not just women—prefer to see a female therapist, either because they believe that a woman will be able to relate to their specific challenges (for example, sexism in the workplace) or because they imagine feeling more comfortable disclosing sensitive information to a woman. Such beliefs may not turn out to be accurate, however, and adhering too rigidly to a gender preference can at times hinder a client from finding the best therapeutic match.
Do therapists get specific training to help with women’s concerns?
Therapists are trained to provide care to clients of any gender. However, some therapists—both men and women—may pursue additional training in feminist therapy, gender-specific issues, or women’s mental health. Female clients may wish to ask prospective therapists whether they have received specific training in the client’s primary area(s) of concern, or whether they have worked extensively with women on issues similar to their own.
How can I inquire about a therapist’s experience in treating women?
It’s OK—even encouraged!—to ask a therapist directly whether and how often they have treated women in the past, or whether they have treated women dealing with the client’s most prominent concern(s). Competent therapists will be happy to share their educational background, preferred treatment modalities, and prior client experience to help an individual find the therapist best suited to their needs.
