I'm trained in Brainspotting and EMDR, with a foundation in psychodynamic work.
You're functioning and showing up, but underneath something feels off– tight, distant, or harder to access than it should be. I work with trauma-related patterns in high-functioning professionals who are used to managing, performing, and pushing through often at the cost of feeling fully connected to themselves. My style is direct, grounded and attuned. I don't stay on the surface, I move at a pace that allows for depth and stability.

I primarily use IFS (Internal Family Systems) and brainspotting in my practice.
As women, we carry so much — responsibilities, expectations, and the invisible weight of always needing to “hold it all together.” I help women over 45 release that burden and reconnect with themselves. I specialize in supporting women who struggle with anxiety, chronic stress, pain, and emotional eating, toward greater balance, confidence, and inner peace. As an Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapist, I focus on addressing the root causes of unhealthy coping patterns — not just the symptoms. Through compassionate exploration, we uncover the deeper parts of you that are seeking comfort or protection,

My role as a psychotherapist is to be a guide and facilitator, as I believe that everyone possesses the power to heal themselves within. Each one of us is already perfect regardless of whatever "mistakes" we make or problems we might view ourselves as having. We are all here to grow, and that usually involves strife and some degree of challenge. Working with these challenges, even learning to understand how they are serving us, frees us up and gives us the information we truly need to move forward. Continued on my website, vinetherapyboulder.com

I tailor the services to each client, integrating Brainspotting, mindfulness and parts work with talk therapy.

Brainspotting Therapists
How does brainspotting work?
Brainspotting works by using eye positioning to identify and process traumatic memories so that a client is better able to move forward and live with less fear. The theory behind brainspotting is that by identifying where a person looks when thinking of traumatic memories, a therapist will be able to guide them to focus on that spot and work with the client to get them out of the “fight, flight, freeze” response associated with the traumatic memory.

Is brainspotting an evidence-based therapy?
Brainspotting is a theory-based alternative therapy. It is one of the newest forms of treatment, so very little research has been completed that examines the mechanism by which it works. The theory behind brainspotting is that eye position can be linked to areas of the brain that store and process memory.

How effective is brainspotting?
Because it is such a new treatment, the effectiveness of brainspotting cannot be quantified. Some people have found it to be effective on its own, or in conjunction with other types of therapy. It is considered an alternative therapy, and it is popular with people for whom more traditional therapies have proven ineffective.

How long does brainspotting take to work?
A typical brainspotting session will last between 60 to 90 minutes. There is no required number of sessions needed to complete brainspotting therapy, but in many cases it is delivered over the course of about six sessions. Clients are encouraged to rate their level of distress prior to a session and again following a session, and to track progress.
