My work is informed by relational and Internal Family Systems models.
Finding the right therapist can feel overwhelming, especially when you’re feeling stuck or carrying pain that’s hard to name. You don’t need to have everything figured out to begin. I offer a supportive, grounded space where you can slow down, feel safe, and begin to explore what’s been weighing on you—at your own pace and on your own terms.

In Dr. Scott Peck's book "The Road Less Traveled," he makes the statement that life is hard. Life can be very hard at times. It takes more than just feeling better to get through the hard times. It requires that we learn how to navigate life's difficulties in a way that restores quality of life. Although some situations are more difficult than others, there is a pathway through the things that challenge us. Discovering that pathway is what therapy is about. With the support of a trusted ally, it's possible to find the solutions to life's problems that adds meaning to out lives and depth to our experiences.

As a trauma informed Certified EMDR therapist I also incorporate CBT, Polyvagal theory, DBT, IFS and somatic strategies into our sessions.
Life is hard. You might be struggling with depression, anxiety, relationships, PTSD or just the everyday life stressors of maintaining a work life balance. I'm here not only to offer you hope, but I can teach you how to tap into your own ability to heal. We are all born with a core essence of goodness; our true Self. When we learn how to nurture our innate qualities of compassion, confidence, clarity, curiosity, courage, creativity, connectedness and calm, it is then when we can truly heal. You may have lost some of these qualities of Self along the way, but I can help you rediscover them through my client centered approach.

I’m a therapist who works with clients in the quiet, honest space beyond survival mode. You may not be in acute trauma anymore, but you’re still carrying the impact — in your relationships, your sense of self, your nervous system, or the way you move through the world. You might feel like you’re supposed to be “better” by now, yet something inside still feels unfinished, uncertain, or fragile. My approach is warm, relational, and grounded. I don’t rush your process or push for silver linings. Instead, I help you reconnect with yourself, rebuild inner safety, and create a life that feels aligned with who you’re becoming.

Anxiety can feel like a constant hum that never shuts off — racing thoughts, tension in your body, and the exhaustion of trying to hold it all together. Maybe depression has quietly taken over, making even the things you used to enjoy feel like too much effort. Or maybe you're navigating grief, family conflict, or a life transition that's left you feeling lost. You don't have to push through this alone.

I know firsthand how hard it can be to reach out. Not only can it be confusing even to know where to start, but it can be difficult to navigate finding the right person, not to mention it is an investment! I can appreciate what it takes, and I am here to help however I can in the process for you. While my personal beliefs are in the Christian faith, and I offer professional Christian counseling, I welcome all clients regardless of your beliefs or background. I would love for you to come as you are, to be seen and met as we move through the work together.

I rely primarily on internal family systems therapy ( IFS) to address whatever you might need help with.
There is no question that life has thrown a lot at us lately. Do you have the full support that you need to get through it all? Whether you have been thrust into a significant transition or you realize that a change has been building for a while, often times a little extra help is what you need just to hang on. I am here to walk with you as you set and achieve new goals while addressing the underlying behavioral and emotional concerns that brought on such feelings of stagnation or stress. I promise that anything can be healed when addressed with the right care.

Hi there, I’m Justin. I work well with individuals undergoing life transitions, navigating unexpected changes, feelings of anxiety, relationship issues or stressors, self esteem, and self worth difficulties. I believe that many of the challenges we face stem from disconnection- both from others and from parts of ourselves. When we begin to nurture those connections and work through inner conflicts and reactions, we can move toward a more authentic, integrated way of being.

I use Internal Family Systems ( IFS) to help you understand the different parts of yourself, like the inner critic, anxiety, or people-pleasing patterns.
You’ve likely tried therapy before, but it didn’t quite get to the deeper layers. On the outside, things may look good, but inside you feel disconnected, stuck in your head, or repeating the same patterns in relationships. You’re not just looking to cope, you want real, lasting change. I help people slow down, understand themselves more deeply, and move toward a more grounded, connected way of living.

Through Gestalt ( IFS), Psychodrama, DBT, EMDR, and a Junigan-based psychotherapy I stand in the fire with clients as they find their empowered personal healing and growth.
We all want to be seen, heard, and understood. We want contact, relationships, and intimacy. We want to be fulfilled, belong, and stable in all of the ways. Anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, past relationship wounds, broken childhoods; These are all parts of ourselves that block us from that real sense of fulfilment, belonging, and safety we all need. Are you tired of lacking confidence and healthy boundaries? Are you afraid of your own anger? Does rage ruin one relationship after another? The people I work with eventually have one goal.. To land at home, safely within themselves & loved ones in fulfillment and belonging.

Life can often feel overwhelming, and navigating life’s challenges alone can be incredibly difficult. We were not meant to face our struggles in isolation. I believe that you are the expert on your own life, but there are times when the support of a trained professional can bring clarity, guidance, and healing. I work with individuals navigating trauma, attachment wounds, relationship challenges, anxiety, and life transitions. My work focuses on helping clients understand their relational patterns, reconnect with themselves, and move toward deeper healing and authenticity.

Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapists
What is Internal Family Systems therapy?
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a type of talk therapy that focuses on sub-personalities, or “families,” within a person, which may be made up of wounded parts and unpleasant emotions like anger and shame. These sub-personalities can come into conflict with each other and with an individual’s core Self, leaving the person feeling detached from positive traits such as the “8 C’s” of confidence, calmness, creativity, clarity, curiosity, courage, compassion, and connectedness. By healing a patient’s wounded parts, a therapist aims to restore balance and bring on positive change.

How does Internal Family Systems therapy work?
An IFS therapist will work with a patient to identify their particular sub-personalities, recognize the emotions powering them, and release them. By doing so, the patient should become more able to address any underlying problems their sub-personalities may have been trying to protect them from. Ultimately, a patient discovers ways to manage internal and external conflicts on their own, through techniques such as relaxation exercises, journaling, and making charts depicting the relationships between their core Self and their distinct parts.

Does Internal Family Systems therapy work?
IFS therapy has been shown to help people address conditions such as depression, anxiety, panic, fears and phobias, trauma, and substance use disorders. Some research has also found that it can help individuals deal with symptoms of physical health conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, such as pain, everyday functioning, depressive feelings, and low self-compassion. There are some conditions for which IFS treatment, specifically discussions of one’s “parts,” may be less appropriate, such as schizophrenia or other states that involve psychosis or paranoia.

How long does Internal Family Systems therapy take?
As with most forms of talk therapy, there is no set duration or end point for IFS therapy. After becoming comfortable with a therapist and the core concepts of IFS, some patients quickly make progress. While experiences vary, most will find that it is a relatively longer-term therapy, involving months and sometimes years of sessions.
