Pajama Forward Therapist here! If white knuckling, self shaming, and pulling yourself up by your bootstraps worked, you’d be “cured” a billion times over. It doesn’t. At least not for me or people whose brains are different. Our minds race and it feels impossible to turn off and rest. Sometimes we use substances or other behaviors in a harmful way just to get through the day. There’s more to life out there. A more peaceful and meaningful life is possible. We need to go deeper and get to the root of things. I’ll go with you. Unable to take insurance

My intention is to provide a safe and supportive space where clients can access their inner resilience. It's important to me that we communicate openly and you feel respected in our relationship. My work focuses on the nervous system and integrating trauma and pre-verbal experiences through somatic based interventions by rewiring neural pathways and strengthening the nervous system response. I work to meet clients where they are at and utilize both non-verbal and verbal approaches to support healing.

I work with people who struggle with anxiety, depression, overthinking, people-pleasing, trauma, and other concerns—especially when it starts to affect their relationships and how they see themselves.
In our work together, I help you understand where those patterns come from and begin to actually shift them—not just manage them. I use EMDR and other approaches to help process past experiences so those beliefs start to lose their hold.

I help clients manage anxiety, stress, and overwhelm that come with high-pressure roles.
You’ve been holding it all together for everyone else — at work, at home, in life. From the outside, it looks like you have it figured out. But on the inside, it’s a different story: stress is constant, relationships feel complicated, and you wonder when it’ll finally feel easier. I help high-achieving professionals, couples, and individuals get unstuck, build emotional clarity, and finally feel like they’re living their lives — not just performing them. I offer virtual therapy for adults anywhere in Colorado, so you can get the support you need without fighting traffic or rearranging your entire day.

I have experience supporting clients managing disordered eating behaviors, unmasking neurodivergent traits, as well as navigating life transitions, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, self-image challenges, and relationship issues.
Therapy is not a place to "fix" you. It is a place to make room for your full experience with curiosity, compassion, and learn to accept the parts you may want "fixed". I understand that making space for yourself can feel unfamiliar or even overwhelming; as so many of us are taught to prioritize everything and everyone before ourselves. You are not alone in feeling that setting aside time for yourself may feel unattainable. My goal is to create an environment where you feel comfortable exactly as you are and help you in reflecting you are just as important as who you may be devoting your time and energy to.

Anxiety Therapists
When should I seek treatment for anxiety?
Everyone feels anxious at times, but when anxiety causes disruption to your daily life, it may be time to seek help. Such disruption can be mental, physical, or both: having fear dominate your thoughts, avoiding situations or objects that bring on feelings of anxiety, or experiencing shortness of breath, sweating, dizziness, or panic attacks. When these symptoms are recurrent and distressing, it may be time to talk to someone.

What are the most common types of treatment for anxiety?
Talk therapy, particularly cognitive behavioral therapy, is the most common treatment for anxiety. Studies have shown it is equally effective as medication. Other popular forms of therapy are popular, depending on a patient’s experience. Exposure therapy, for instance, can be useful for people dealing with fears and phobias, or who have experienced traumatic events. Dialectical Behavioral Therapy may be useful for patients who need help with emotion regulation. Anxiolytic medications, like benzodiazepines, can also help with calming a person enough to focus on the skills they’ve learned, and physical exercise has been shown to help symptoms of anxiety across the board.

How long does therapy for anxiety take to work?
The amount of time needed to alleviate symptoms depends on the severity of a person’s condition. Some therapies may take 5-20 weekly sessions to show results. Anti-depressant medications typically take two to four weeks before a benefit is felt. Anti-anxiety medications are felt typically within 20-30 minutes. Medications are best used to offer a patient a better headspace in which to work on techniques learned in therapy. Exercise, improved sleep habits, and meditation are effective, but takes weeks or months to show results.

How effective is treatment for anxiety?
Treatment for anxiety has been shown to be moderately to highly effective, according to a large body of psychology studies and analyses. For some people, treatment using CBT or exposure therapy alone is effective. Others respond best to a combination of medication and therapy.
