Hello, I'm Jeannette, a bilingual English-Spanish psychotherapist who believes that mental health is the cornerstone of a healthy lifestyle, paving the way for personal and spiritual growth. As a Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) woman, my own life experiences have deeply motivated me to embark on this journey as a psychotherapist. I have a strong passion for working with culturally diverse communities, especially those that may face increased stigma around mental health issues.

I'm Renay. As your therapist, I firmly believe you know yourself best. It doesn't always feel that way though. It can be hard to trust and to challenge ourselves. Therapy can help you get to know yourself, get comfortable with your emotions, and get curious about your reactions. Together, we can learn from the natural stress responses that you may feel are ruling your world right now, such as anxiety, depression, body tension, numbness, shifts in sleep or appetite, self-sabotaging behaviors, anger or fear.

My approach is grounded in the belief that each person carries an inner compass guiding them toward wholeness—even in the midst of confusion, grief, or overwhelm. In therapy, I work relationally, attending to how attachment, culture, and nervous system states shape our experience. My style is warm, attuned, and down-to-earth, offering curiosity, creativity, and gentle challenge when helpful. I draw from depth psychology/Jungian frameworks, EMDR, polyvagal theory, expressive arts therapies, attachment theory, somatic awareness, and dreamwork.

I tailor therapy to your unique needs by integrating evidence-based approaches, including Internal Family Systems ( IFS), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and complementary approaches such as Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises (TRE) and Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT).
What you are is what you have been. What you will be is what you do now - Buddha Many of the people I work with are the ones others depend on such as professionals, caregivers, parents, and helpers who quietly carry anxiety, chronic stress, burnout, trauma, chronic illness, or relationship challenges while continuing to meet the demands of everyday life. They often appear capable on the outside but feel emotionally exhausted, disconnected from themselves, or stuck in patterns they don't fully understand. They aren't simply looking for more coping strategies, they're ready to understand the patterns and cycles that keep them stuck.

I'm from VT, have ties to CO & MD, and live in ID. I love helping people write their narrative and rewire their brain to process things differently. Together, we can work to make peace with the past, make sense of the present, and step confidently toward becoming the best version of yourself in the future. I believe therapy is most effective when it blends different approaches, which is why I take an eclectic, personalized approach tailored to your unique needs. At the heart of my practice is creating a welcoming, nonjudgmental space—a place where you can be fully you. This is your safe space to share, explore, and grow.

I offer integrative somatic therapy — drawing from EMDR, IFS, and Somatic Experiencing to work with the body, the nervous system, and the cultural and intergenerational patterns that shape us.
My clients are high-achievers who look like they have it together on the outside — and are quietly exhausted underneath. Many are immigrants, first-generation professionals, or bicultural adults who have spent their lives adapting to belong. They've often tried therapy before. They understand themselves well. And yet something still feels stuck — a persistent anxiety, a hollowness beneath the success, a sense that no matter how much work they've done on themselves, something keeps pulling them back. They're ready for an approach that works at a deeper level.

As Mary Oliver wisely wrote, "All eternity is in the moment.”. Our childhood, past experiences, and future hopes all culminate in here and now expressions. Given the time, space, and healthy environment, I believe we all have an intrinsic knowledge of what we need to heal and thrive. With warmth and authenticity, I strive to offer protected and restorative therapeutic experiences, where self-discovery, healing and genuine self-acceptance is possible. While personal growth can feel, at times, overwhelming, my hope is to also weave in a bit of levity and strength-based positivity.

I offer Somatic Experiencing, Internal Family Systems, and attachment based therapy.
Hi there! I am a body based/somatic therapist who specializes in trauma and cPTSD. I particularly love working with people who grew up with substance use disorders in their family. Many of us have been disconnected from ourselves and others due to trauma, and it is my passion to work with those who are wanting to rebuild that connection. Not only will we gain understanding of how your past impacts your present, but we will also listen to the story that your body has to tell. I trust in your mind and body's innate wisdom to heal and it would be an honor to guide and support you in that journey.

Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapists
What is Internal Family Systems therapy?
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a type of talk therapy that focuses on sub-personalities, or “families,” within a person, which may be made up of wounded parts and unpleasant emotions like anger and shame. These sub-personalities can come into conflict with each other and with an individual’s core Self, leaving the person feeling detached from positive traits such as the “8 C’s” of confidence, calmness, creativity, clarity, curiosity, courage, compassion, and connectedness. By healing a patient’s wounded parts, a therapist aims to restore balance and bring on positive change.

How does Internal Family Systems therapy work?
An IFS therapist will work with a patient to identify their particular sub-personalities, recognize the emotions powering them, and release them. By doing so, the patient should become more able to address any underlying problems their sub-personalities may have been trying to protect them from. Ultimately, a patient discovers ways to manage internal and external conflicts on their own, through techniques such as relaxation exercises, journaling, and making charts depicting the relationships between their core Self and their distinct parts.

Does Internal Family Systems therapy work?
IFS therapy has been shown to help people address conditions such as depression, anxiety, panic, fears and phobias, trauma, and substance use disorders. Some research has also found that it can help individuals deal with symptoms of physical health conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, such as pain, everyday functioning, depressive feelings, and low self-compassion. There are some conditions for which IFS treatment, specifically discussions of one’s “parts,” may be less appropriate, such as schizophrenia or other states that involve psychosis or paranoia.

How long does Internal Family Systems therapy take?
As with most forms of talk therapy, there is no set duration or end point for IFS therapy. After becoming comfortable with a therapist and the core concepts of IFS, some patients quickly make progress. While experiences vary, most will find that it is a relatively longer-term therapy, involving months and sometimes years of sessions.
