I am passionate about helping people strengthen the relationships that matter most. I work with couples to help develop open communication and deeper intimacy, with families of queer and/or neurodivergent teens to build understanding across differences, and with individuals navigating major life transitions to find confidence and clarity. I offer affirming support for clients that are navigating LGBTQAI+, neurodivergent, kink, or poly relationships. My approach integrates attachment theory, trauma-informed care, emotional regulation, and neuroscience to provide well-rounded therapy.

I specialize in the treatment of eating disorders, PTSD, and OCD and have experience working with anxiety, depression, relationship conflicts, gender dysphoria, self-harm, and chronic pain & illness.
Psychotherapy can provide an invaluable space to explore our fears and suffering with a compassionate witness. Over time, we are able to befriend aspects of ourselves that we have suppressed and begin to recognize that our symptoms are coping skills we have used to survive. I seek to provide gentle guidance to clients to help them move into discomfort, expand their insight, and discover previously untapped strength and resources, while also respecting each person’s unique process and pacing. I have a holistic approach, taking into consideration the mind, body, and spirit as integral to healing.

There's something different about you. Maybe you're figuring out your sexuality, gender, or romantic life, or exploring polyamory or kink. Maybe you're a plural system. You may view the world through a neurotype or spiritual lens that doesn’t match the people around you. Or maybe your life has been changed by traumatic experiences. It might be really hard to trust people...to risk opening up about what you're dealing with. I get it. It’s hard to know who actually has your back.

Are you looking for a therapist that is trauma wise and educated to walk alongside you in your healing journey? I meet with any experiencing distress in their life across different ages, socioeconomics, and presenting problems. I am passionate about creating a safe and nonjudgmental space for you to process the parts of yourself that have been impacted by trauma and harmful experiences through an integrated approach addressing the brain, body, and person as a whole. Mental health services conducted by and for queer BIPOC individuals and communities are scarce as well, and I am honored to provide more accessibility to people like me.

Navigating the immigration process can feel overwhelming. Your lawyer is handling the legal side, but you’re left feeling anxious, confused, and scared that the only home you’ve ever known could be taken from you. You search for answers, and that’s where I come in. An Immigration Psychological Evaluation can provide critical support for your case. This could be the key factor in keeping your family together rather than torn apart. Whether you're seeking asylum, facing hardship, applying for a waiver, or proving the emotional impact of separation, I take the time to provide a comprehensive evaluation. You don’t have to do this alone.

You feel disconnected from yourself, navigating a world that doesn’t always account for your unique rhythm. Perhaps you are untangling the knots of neurodivergence, trauma, or a major life transition. You aren’t looking to be "fixed," but you need a space to process the weight of anxiety or depression. Your goal is to find meaning amidst the chaos and move from simply coping to living with inner alignment. You want to feel seen in your wholeness—longing for a life that feels nourishing, true, and deeply connected to your identity.

You deserve connection, joy, and self-worth. But trauma, loss, a major life transition, has got you feeling… off. Maybe your thoughts are harsh and just won’t stop racing, or you feel depressed and the best part of your day lately is those several seconds before you fully wake and remember just how stuck you feel. How you show up for yourself and in your relationships is suffering and it hurts. You have been coping with this pain in ways that you don’t love and you are ready to take a new step towards healing. Let’s talk.

I find that in my work, the clients with whom I work best find me organically. My ideal client seeks positive change for themselves and for their communities. I enjoy working with clients who are eager to learn about themselves and leverage their self-knowledge toward growth and wellness. My ideal client seeks to be empowered to create meaning in their lives, because they know there is more to the human experience than what we are led to believe by the trappings of our society.

I specialize in supporting people with all types of neurodivergence. Many of my clients also have additional mental health concerns. Neurodivergent people are not broken. Instead, our brains process the world differently. However, the world is designed for neurotypical brains, which can make it confusing, difficult, and painful to operate in the world as a neurodivergent person. It can also create or compound mental health concerns like anxiety or depression. Having support from someone with a deep understanding of neurodivergence and mental health can help you better understand yourself and navigate the world around you.

Transgender Therapists
As a gender-diverse individual, why might I want to see a therapist who is also gender diverse?
A trans or gender-diverse client may want to see a therapist who is also trans or gender diverse because the client may feel safer sharing their experiences and more confident that the therapist will understand, validate, and support them. But trans or gender-diverse clients can also benefit from therapy with cisgender therapists; this is a personal decision based on the connection between the client and the therapist, and if that connection is strong, therapy will be successful.

What if I cannot find a therapist who shares my gender identity?
Therapy can still be effective if a therapist does not share a client’s gender identity; a large body of research indicates that the most important factor in successful therapy is the therapeutic alliance. A therapist can also be interviewed for sensitivity and competence on gender identity and expression to ensure they possess appropriate knowledge and skills. Many therapists have excellent training and extensive experience working with gender-diverse clients, and that expertise can be invaluable despite a therapist not sharing the same firsthand experiences.

How can I recognize a good therapist for working with gender-diverse clients?
An experienced therapist should be able to help clients explore their gender identity and expression, alleviate discomfort related to their gender identity, treat mental health challenges and trauma, address existing relationships and communication with family members and loved ones, and determine the next steps pertaining to nonmedical or medical gender-affirming interventions. To recognize a good therapist, clients can ask about these topics and explore their comfort and connection with the clinician.

How might I inquire about a therapist’s experience working with transgender clients?
Clients should feel comfortable asking therapists directly about their experience working with transgender or gender-diverse clientele. For example, clients may ask about the therapist’s training and education with regard to gender identity, how many trans clients they’ve worked with in the past, and what sorts of matters were discussed. You may wish to inquire how a therapist specifically supports the needs of transgender clients or clients questioning their gender identity. A good clinician who is nonetheless not the right fit for you is often happy to make referrals to others based on the concerns you articulate in a preliminary conversation.
