"Some changes look negative on the surface but you will soon realize that space is being created in your life for something new to emerge
A major milestone in my professional journey was my tenure as full time faculty at Naropa University’s Master’s in Clinical Mental Health, Mindfulness-Based Transpersonal Counseling. This was a launching point into my love for transpersonal psychotherapy. Today, I delve deep into wisdom traditions & in the world of transformative & transcendent experience.

I help women in midlife find a way of eating that truly works for this stage of life.
If you’re a smart, thoughtful woman over 50 who’s frustrated with eating or weight—and nothing seems to be working anymore—I’ve got you. Many of the women I work with have tried to eat “healthy” for years, yet their body isn’t responding the way it used to. You may be eating less but gaining weight, or feeling like you’ve lost your rhythm with food, energy, or confidence. It doesn’t have to be this hard. With a wiser, abundance-based approach, most of my clients not only lose weight, but also sleep better, feel calmer, and get peace with food again.

I have been a teacher and a life coach.
My practice and process are centered around the idea that everyone has struggles, and no one's struggles are greater than anyone else's. I often work with people who are struggling with depression, anxiety, grief, family dynamics, and PTSD. Thank you for considering me as a therapist with whom you may want to work. Starting therapy can be scary, but I have seen the benefits of it for countless people. Be proud of yourself for seeking guidance in a difficult time.

I help neurodiverse adults and teens tackle the challenge of embracing who they are while also pursuing a successful and balanced life.
Are you neurodivergent? Let me guess, you've seen a therapist, if not several, and its been... fine. They listened and empathized, but they didn't help you change the way you engage with the world. I've heard this story dozens of times from neurodiverse clients who are autistic, have ADHD or don't really fit in any specific box. You want to meet with someone who understands how your neurotype changes the way you experience the world. You need someone who can help differentiate what is part of who you are and what is something you have been forced to use to cope with a world that wants you to be "normal".

My goal is to help my clients to live and work intentionally so they are happier, more productive, and live life more peacefully and with grace.
Transpersonal counseling is a holistic way of seeing a person and the problems they are trying to heal, and encompasses spiritual development throughout the course of a person's life and therapy process. Transpersonal counseling combines Eastern and Western psychology elements to aid a client's healing process, and sees the whole person and their unique needs. The transpersonal approach fosters the development of one's authentic self by expanding focus beyond the individual to the wider elements of experience.

Many people show up for therapy when life feels too big to handle alone.
If you are struggling in your relationship with others or with yourself, I am here to help you find safety, security, and a deeper level of connection. I work with couples and individuals with a special focus on clients who are dealing with cancer. I am trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), an evidence-based method for working with couples to de-escalate negative patterns and increase closeness through new ways of relating to one another. When people feel safe and secure in their relationships, emotional healing becomes a much easier process. This inevitably includes the relationship you have with yourself.

My role and purpose is to help people find their freedom in order to find deep meaning in life and to love freely.
In my practice I am focused on guiding people through the healing and change processes necessary to live a life of freedom. Understanding that trauma and grief are a major source of suffering, I focus on the origin of the problem and not the coping mechanisms which can include isolation, anger issues and drug & alcohol use disorders.

Life Coaching Therapists
What can I expect from life coaching?
Clients and coaches will typically start by identifying the problem area(s) that the client hopes to address—then, the coach will help the client brainstorm potential solutions and explore concrete techniques to help the client attain their goals. Coaching is typically short-term and focused on finding solutions in the here and now, rather than exploring a client’s past. In addition to strategies aimed at the client’s specific concerns, coaches may encourage general stress management techniques such as meditation.

Can a life coach help treat anxiety?
Because the majority of life coaches are not licensed clinicians, they are not qualified to diagnose or treat anxiety. Anyone struggling with anxiety or another mental health condition should seek help from a licensed mental health practitioner. However, some coaching clients who struggle with subclinical anxiety report that working with their coach on other problems—such as career dissatisfaction or unhealthy habits—has a positive effect on their anxiety.

Can life coaching be done online?
Yes. While life coaching often happens in person, many coaches conduct sessions over the phone or via online platforms such as Zoom or Skype. Because life coaches are not subject to local licensing regulations in the same way that therapists are, they are able to see clients who live in other locations.

How long does life coaching last?
Life coaching tends to be a shorter-term process than therapy, though it does not always unfold over a specific period of time and is instead based on the coach’s or the client’s preferences. Coaching often takes place over three to 12 months but may be shorter or longer if necessary.
