Our therapeutic space will be bold, brave, and supportive. I aim to strike a balance of validating feelings of fragility or fear with a genuine belief in the potential to heal. Maybe you’ve been called “too much” or can’t quite carve the life and relationships that you want, despite an inner knowingness of your innate goodness and loving nature. It may at times feel hopeless, but I say there is hope here!
This space is particularly effective for those eager to take a deeper dive into themselves and their most difficult material or Complex Trauma.
Additionally, I provide Ketamine (KAP) Therapy Integration and support.

Hi, I’m Emily! I know how overwhelming it can feel when anxiety seems to be in control, steering you away from the life you truly want. If you’ve ever felt like anxiety is in the driver’s seat, you’re not alone—I understand that experience on a deeply human level. I have extensive experience working in higher levels of care treating OCD and anxiety disorders, which has given me a deep understanding of both the challenges these conditions create and the strategies that help people move forward. My goal is to equip you with knowledge, skills, and tools to navigate anxiety in a way that empowers you rather than limits you.

I use cognitive behavior therapy and dialectical behavior therapy; I don't want to just talk about problems, I want to get people up and active and doing something to make changes in their lives. I use Cognitive Behavior Therapy as a primary method of treatment - it works quickly and tends to keep folks doing better in the long-run, as well.

Do you ever feel like you can't seem to find your happy place in life? Like everything you're doing isn't working and you're stuck in a cycle that doesn't work for you? Most of the individuals I work with have struggled in these cycles for some time and are wanting to find a way to build a life they want to live. As a therapist, I help people identify what goals they want to achieve and create a plan to get there.

Asking for help can be incredibly difficult. There may be times when we don’t feel like ourselves or are not living how we want to be. Other times we simply feel stuck. My approach to therapy is to join you on exploring if life was better, what would be different. If you’re not sure what that may be, that’s OK too. I take a collaborative, person-centered approach throughout the therapeutic process. This means not having to voyage alone toward what those changes in perspective and actions may be, to feel more congruent to who you are and your values in life.

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) Therapists
Do I need exposure and response prevention therapy?
Many clients decide to seek help for obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviors when these symptoms are distressing enough to disrupt everyday life. Any thoughts or behaviors that cause friction in close relationships are also worth addressing. In addition, the client’s symptoms don’t have to be severe for them to benefit from ERP therapy.
Is exposure and response prevention therapy part of cognitive behavioral therapy?
Exposure and response prevention is one specific type of CBT that focuses on behavioral change in response to triggering stimuli. It is related to exposure therapy but adds an additional component of preventing compulsive and harmful responses.
How long does exposure and response prevention therapy take?
While every patient is different, exposure and response prevention therapy typically lasts around 12 sessions, although some treatments can take longer. A therapist will determine if the treatment is complete based on how the client faces their fears, particularly the strongest ones. When a client feels less anxiety about stimuli that once evoked terror or distress, that is generally an indication that they are nearing the end of ERP therapy.
What are the limitations of exposure and response prevention therapy?
The most common pitfalls of exposure and response prevention therapy include not addressing a client’s core fears, allowing the client to avoid their most distressing stimuli, and using imaginary exposure when the client requires real-life exposure (and vice versa). ERP therapy is most effective when the client commits to the full course of treatment; if the client stops early or doesn’t practice what they have learned outside of therapy sessions, they are less likely to have successful outcomes.
