Therapists for Adults in Lafayette, CO
I work with children, adolescents and adults.
I am an Arizona native, that has called Colorado home for the past sixteen years. My interest in psychology began at the age of ten with active curiosity about how our experiences and genetics shape us. From there, my passion only grew.

My ideal clients are women and couples craving more — more connection, more truth, more aliveness in their relationships and within themselves. Maybe you shut down, avoid conflict, or can't quite bridge the distance with your partner. Many carry unresolved trauma after a major transition or a moment that cracked something open. Others are curious about psychedelic-assisted therapy as a catalyst for change and want a clinician who can guide that process with care and clinical grounding.
They're done with surface-level approaches. They want to get to the root.

I've spent over 10 years helping adults across Colorado connect with themselves and deepen their relationships.
Life looks different than it used to. Big transitions: parenthood, relationship shifts, and grief can shake your sense of self. Moments of joy and connection can quickly turn to overwhelm, tension, or self-doubt. The inner voice grows louder, filled with criticism and fear. In relationships, the same arguments may play on repeat, leaving everyone feeling unseen and misunderstood. Intimacy might feel distant, or connection may have taken a backseat to daily survival. Whether navigating these shifts alone or with a partner, the longing to feel present, emotionally steady, and deeply understood is real.

I believe our choices are deeply influenced by the information we have at any given moment. This information is derived from how we interpret our life experiences, forming a narrative that defines who we are. When this narrative becomes unhelpful or fails to bring us comfort, it can lead to a range of challenges, including depression, anxiety, trauma, or addiction.
My aim is to offer clients a compassionate, non-judgmental environment where we can examine how past experiences may be hindering your ability to enjoy life fully. Together, we can identify effective coping strategies, explore new options, and set meaningful goals.

I'm a licensed clinical psychologist, and I believe that providing a safe and supportive environment fosters alliance and trust within the therapeutic relationship. My goal as a therapist is to help my clients achieve their goals whether that includes easing symptoms of depression or anxiety, working through difficult issues (current or past), increasing coping skills, increasing self-esteem, and/or identifying what's next in life. I am also trained and certified in EMDR.

I am a trained Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapist, and I help clients develop a more compassionate understanding of themselves, their history, and their experiences. Growing up, we often learn things that are confusing or troubling. Sometimes those situations are hard to understand, and we may even blame ourselves for not making sense of them at the time. I started my practice in Boulder Colorado in 1991.

My clients are often going through life transitions: from young adults just starting out to older adults coming to terms with aging and all that accompanies it.
Are you struggling with the unexpected twists and turns of life? Do you need a quiet place to talk things over and plot a path forward? Sometimes we need time to pause and regain strength and resilience when we feel overwhelmed by life. We can work together to find that power inside that feels clouded right now. Therapy can often help you see things more clearly. I know it is not always easy to reach out for help, but you have taken the first step. I look forward to helping my clients grow and start taking care of themselves and their mental health, no matter what stage of their life they are at.

It’s been an hour but you can’t stop the thoughts from cycling over and over in your head. You know they don’t make sense and don’t align with who you really are, or do they? You check, reassure yourself, avoid, seek answers, and for a moment it works. Until it doesn’t. OCD and anxiety are tricky because they target the things you care about the most and no matter how hard you try, you can’t logic your way out of it. You’re exhausted and lonely because no one around you seems to know what it’s like to be trapped in the dark forest of your mind.

People don’t come to therapy because they want to do deep work, they come because something’s hurting, exhausting, or just hasn’t changed no matter how hard they try. I’ve sat with people in that place many times: the chronic pain that has no off-switch, the health that betrays you, the replaying of old hurts that still feels alive in the body.

I have more than 5 years of experience as a mental health professional with a focus on teen and young adult populations.
Do you feel anxious or overwhelmed by life? Are you struggling with relationships? Do you feel stuck, lost or unable to move toward what matters to you? There are many reasons that people become overwhelmed by the twists and turns of life, and it’s perfectly natural to find yourself struggling sometimes. In a society that values productivity and progress, you might feel like you’re failing if you’re not moving forward. However, life often isn’t a linear path, and learning to accept ourselves in this moment can help us find our way.

I was born and raised in Oklahoma but have lived my adult life in Colorado.
I work to foster a safe accepting collaborative and culturally inclusive working environment and relationship. I believe that we all are comprised of and guided by our past and present, to include family, relationships culture, ethnic identity, community , much as if we were standing in a set of radiating concentric and overlapping circles.

I completed my Pre-Doctoral Internship in Health Services Psychology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and my Postdoctoral Fellowship in Psychological Assessment at the University of Colorado Boulder. I have clinical experience in a variety of different university, hospital, and outpatient settings.
When I’m not working, I enjoy skiing, hiking, and exploring new restaurants.
