A sense of well-being, our most basic state, can be restored. Habitual behaviors, reactions, and styles of thinking contribute to our suffering and create stress, depression, anxiety and inhibit the full enjoyment of life, especially if emotional needs have gone unmet or traumas have gotten in the way. Through sensitive application of specific tehniques, clarity and and ease can return. I offer a subsidy with a low copay for clients who qualify as well as a sliding fee to make therapy affordable.
Utilizing some of the most validated and recognized modalities available today, I am dedicated to your healing process. My style is to meet my clients at their level, provide perspective and insight into what is holding them back, and support and encourage them to make the behavioral changes they seek.
I often use simple interventions and homework assignments that elicit attention and curiosity. When unmet emotional needs are identified, those needs are met mindfully in the present. Where traumas are identified, specific methods are used to reduce the arousal (fight or flight response), build resources, and resolve the activation.
