I enjoy working with people who want to find joy and meaning in their life. I find it fulfilling to work with clients who want to bring into balance their emotional, relational, spiritual, cognitive, and physical dimensions. I have helped people who have experienced grief, addictions, trauma, religious and spiritual abuse, relationships, low-self-esteem, anxiety, and depression. I work with a variety of diverse clients, including members of the LGBTQIA+ community, religious/spiritual communities, racial and ethnic backgrounds. I work with people who want to change addiction patterns, and trauma.

Not many people can say, without a doubt, they know exactly where they are supposed to be. I am lucky enough to be one of the few. My place is walking through the fire with trauma survivors, sitting with people in their deepest pain, and if nothing more, holding space for anything that may come.

I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) and a Registered Play Therapist (RPT-S) with over 10 years’ experience working with families. As a Registered Play Therapist, I use non-directive play therapy to allow children to experience control and increase their ability to make their own healthy decisions.

One of my primary specialties is working with those who are struggling with their use of substances. I have been a Type 1 Diabetic for over 36 years and I am also a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Over the years, I have realized how little support there is for people living with and affected by Diabetes, Types 1 and 2. For that reason, I set up a counseling practice to do just that - support Diabetics and those close to them who may be dealing with issues such as depression, anxiety and/or needing better coping skills. Hello all, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and I enjoy working with school-aged children and their families. In my work, I feel driven to be authentic, intentional and supportive. I have provided therapy within school-based, community-based and outpatient settings. I utilize techniques from trauma-based treatments, cognitive-behavioral therapy and feel there is much value in exploring the systems each client exists within.
