You’re not broken—you’re becoming. If you’ve hit a wall, feel stuck in old patterns, or can’t shake a sense of disconnection, you’re not alone. I work with adults who are ready to heal at the root—beyond symptom management and into deep transformation. My style is warm, collaborative, and grounded in a mix of evidence-based therapy and soul-centered support. I specialize in addressing the complex intersection of trauma, intimacy, and identity. Many of my clients are struggling with challenges around desire, disconnection, or sexual shame—and want a compassionate space to explore what’s really going on beneath the surface.

Hi, My name is Mieszka (mee yesh' kah) but please feel free to call me Mia. I am passionate about helping people navigate trauma, whether from childhood or adulthood. I work with clients who have experienced trauma as a first responder, military veteran, intimate partner violence, and also accidents or natural disaster. I am an Army Veteran and have witnessed firsthand the loss of identity following traumatic experiences and the isolation as the world continues spinning without consideration for your trauma.

In my practice, I offer ketamine-assisted therapy as one tool that can be integrated into our work.
In our work, I focus on creating safety for insight. I believe that the answers you seek are already inside of you, and that your pain, strong emotions, and past hurts can often act as barriers to accessing that deep wisdom. My role is to help you clear those barriers and tap into the insight that is already within you.

I also offer EMDR and Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy for clients who want more trauma-focused work.
You may be high-achieving and capable, which looks good from the outside, but feels exhausting on the inside. You might be doing all the “right” things—working hard, staying busy, holding it together—yet still feel anxious, disconnected, or stuck in patterns you don’t fully understand. I work with adults in their 20s and 30s who want more than surface-level coping skills. Together, we slow things down enough to understand why certain patterns exist, not just how to manage them.

I have extensive training in Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP), Somatic Experiencing, Depth Psychology, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) parts work.
Currently supervising a master's-level intern offering reduced-cost sessions. My approach is deeply relational and attachment based— real change often happens through experience, not just thought. In our sessions, we focus on the present moment, exploring what’s alive for you through experiential and somatic work. My goal is to support you to reconnect with your own inner wisdom. Together, we will gently notice the patterns that make you feel stuck (i.e any dissociation, stored trauma memory, or limiting beliefs), uncover what you truly need and desire, and offer your nervous system and body a chance to find more ease and balance.

Sometimes life crashes in on us. We suffer breakups and divorces. We lose jobs. Past traumas disturbingly resurface. We deal with debilitating illnesses. We face seemingly insurmountable grief when people we love get sick and/or pass away. Sometimes we feel unsettled, disappointed and dissatisfied. We perseverate, "What is wrong with me?! I should be doing so much better than this!" When life crashes, we are left in pieces and face the daunting task of putting ourselves back together. How can we ever again feel strong, healthy, happy and whole? These events change us, that's for sure, but they don't have to break us.

Ketamine-Assisted Therapists
What is Ketamine-Assisted Therapy?
Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy is a treatment method that involves using ketamine’s trance-inducing and pain-relieving properties to help individuals work through various mental and emotional challenges.

Why is Ketamine used for depression?
Ketamine is employed to treat depression, particularly when other treatments have failed, due to its unique, rapid-acting relief of depressive symptoms and its ability to enhance neural plasticity. Unlike conventional antidepressants, which may take weeks to be effective, ketamine can alleviate symptoms within hours, making it especially valuable for severe or suicidal depression. It acts by blocking NMDA receptors, subsequently promoting the release of neurotrophic factors like BDNF, which aid in the formation of new synaptic connections, fostering neural resilience and reducing depressive symptoms. The psychotropic and dissociative effects of ketamine also provide a therapeutic window for patients to explore and reframe distressing thoughts and emotions under guided supervision, potentially resolving underlying psychological contributors to depression. While its use can be transformative, it necessitates cautious administration in controlled settings due to potential side effects and abuse risks.

How is Ketamine used in Psychotherapy
Ketamine can be utilized in therapy to facilitate psychological healing and transformation, particularly in ketamine-assisted psychotherapy. When administered in controlled, subanesthetic doses, it induces altered states of consciousness, allowing individuals to access and explore suppressed or unconscious thoughts, emotions, and memories. This dissociative state creates a therapeutic window where patients, guided by a trained psychotherapist, can work through traumatic experiences, reframe negative thought patterns, and address the emotional roots of their mental health challenges. The synergistic combination of ketamine’s psychotropic effects and psychotherapeutic intervention aims to promote lasting change, enhance self-awareness, and improve overall mental well-being, providing a valuable option for those with treatment-resistant mental health conditions.

What happens in Ketamine therapy?
In ketamine psychotherapy, patients undergo a series of sessions where they receive controlled doses of ketamine, typically via injection or infusion, under the supervision of a trained healthcare provider. Ketamine induces a trance-like or altered state of consciousness, which enables patients to access and explore deep-seated thoughts, emotions, and memories that are typically unconscious or inaccessible. Throughout this altered state, a trained psychotherapist guides the patient to help them process their experiences, offering support and intervention to help the individual address and reframe traumatic memories or negative thought patterns. This combination of pharmacological and psychotherapeutic approaches aims to create lasting positive changes in mental health and well-being by resolving underlying psychological issues and enhancing the individual's coping mechanisms and resilience. The process can be particularly beneficial for individuals dealing with treatment-resistant mental health conditions like severe depression, anxiety, and PTSD.
