Infidelity Therapists in Englewood, CO
I help people explore what’s really happening in their relationships and reconnect with joy. My priority is helping you feel understood and no longer alone. We do that by feeling together—crying, being angry, grieving, and experiencing joy. Often this means noticing and expressing what wasn’t safe or encouraged to feel in childhood or past relationships. Together, we explore what shaped you and what you learned is safe or not, so you can rewrite those lessons and feel freer in your relationships and with yourself. As an Emotionally Focused Therapist, I focus on how your emotions and past experiences shape your current communication.

It’s a new day and you’re disappointed the sun even came up…overwhelmed is the best word to describe you. Depression waves through you. Sleep is elusive or sometimes you sleep too much. Anxiety engulfs you. You know exercise is supposed to help. But you don’t have an ounce of energy. The self-criticism that floats through your head can feel like it’s drowning you. You feel helpless and drained. No one knows you’re feeling this way. Sometimes you think that you should be able to pull yourself up by the bootstraps. But you just can’t. And you’ve tried so many different times. Everything you’ve tried has failed. Now what?

I work with partners navigating repeated conflicts, attachment injuries, infidelity, or life transitions.
Relationships can feel confusing and painful when you argue over the same things or silence replaces connection. When you’re feeling discouraged, it can feel easier to pull away or protect yourself, even from the person you love most. I work with couples who want to overcome this inertia to feel safe with each other again, communicate openly, and soften old defenses. I help you slow down moments when things go sideways, understand what's happening beneath the surface, and begin to reach for each other with honesty, warmth, and understanding. You deserve a relationship where you feel held and seen, and with work, this is possible!

“I can’t picture a time when things will get better, no matter how much effort I put in.” “My mind never seems to quiet down, and even minor situations feel like they could spiral out of control.” “I can be surrounded by friends or family and still feel completely invisible.” If these feelings sound familiar, know that you are not alone. Anxiety, depression, and the scars of past trauma can feel overwhelming, but recovery is possible. Together, we can navigate life’s intense and sometimes frightening emotions, and I would be honored to support you along the way.

When you are struggling to move past conflicts or getting stuck in all-too-familiar patterns, there should be something so direct, personal, and real about what you discover and practice in therapy that it should dramatically change how you think, feel, and act with others. Therapy should captivate and transform you. That's my specialty. Yet, even though therapy is serious work, there should be room for play: for trying things on, for practice, for being human. As a Certified Emotionally Focused Couple and family therapist, I care about the quality of your relationships. My approach? Connecting. Pragmatic. Thorough. Creative.

Infidelity Therapists
How does therapy for infidelity work?
A skilled infidelity therapist will provide a safe space for clients to communicate their feelings and concerns. The goal is to be completely honest about what led to the cheating and how it has affected the entire family to prevent it from recurring in the future. The therapist will help the clients work on rebuilding mutual trust and respect and developing better communication and conflict-resolution skills. If the goal is to remain a couple, clients will learn the “danger signs” for their specific relationship, and they will make a renewed commitment to be faithful.
How long does therapy for infidelity take?
Recovery from infidelity can take time, and it can vary from person to person. Generally, a therapist will want to see the clients at least once a week for around six months. Then the sessions can be arranged as needed, depending on the clients’ individual needs. While therapy may end or shift to an as-needed basis, it can take up to two years or more for some clients to fully recover from infidelity.
How does therapy help the partner who was cheated on?
When a client discovers their partner’s infidelity, their trust in the relationship and in the life they had together may be shattered. They often experience mental health symptoms, such as anxiety, depression, grief, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). They don’t always want to stay in the relationship; they may feel ambivalent or may even want to leave. Therapy gives these clients a safe and healthy way to communicate all of their complicated emotions and concerns.
How does therapy help the partner who committed infidelity?
Infidelity often occurs when one or both partners’ emotional needs are not being met in the relationship. Therapy can help this client understand why they cheated and figure out how to address those unmet needs without resorting to infidelity in the future. This can lessen (but not entirely eliminate) the risk of repeated infidelity. Clients who cheat may also feel intense guilt about deceiving their partners, a sentiment that they can work through in therapy.
