I specialize in treating relationship behaviors of abuse, power and control, coercion, and overall unhealthy dynamics in romantic relationships.
My work specializes in individual and couples therapy for those experiencing conflict in their relationship. I anticipate sessions with clients speaking from a position of "rightness" early in therapy with a smooth transition to deepened listening while recognizing personal missteps and growth considerations. As a client, you will be expected to be the main character in your narrative and over time place less change demands on the supportive roles in your life. You will speak with purpose and listen with the intention of learning to step into the next chapter of your relationship with yourself and your partner.

I am a Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) and trained domestic violence advocate.
I would love to walk alongside you as you seek to make a better life for yourself. I have helped hundreds of clients heal from even the worst of life's experiences. I work with adults who have experienced trauma in their past and/or are currently feeling depressed, anxious or have addictions. Often, they blame themselves for things they had no control over, which causes them to believe things about themselves like, “I am worthless” or “I am not worthy of love.” This isn’t true. It is a joy to see my clients come to realize their own value and to make life choices that move them toward health, hope and a happier future.

You’re tired of feeling stuck in the same relationship or family patterns. Whether you’re navigating conflict with a partner, parenting a young or neurodivergent child, or carrying anxiety, burnout, or past trauma, you’re ready for change. You want clarity, stronger communication, emotional safety, and tools that actually work — not surface-level fixes, but lasting, meaningful growth

You feel overwhelmed, tired, and maybe numb. You try to do it all, but it's not working. You feel stuck and constantly worry about things that have hurt you in the past and it's difficult to know how to move on and find joy again. You are surrounded by people, but feel lonely inside. You don't have to feel alone, stuck or overwhelmed. You have everything you need right now to change your life, sometimes we just need a guide, some support or a little help with the right tools to help us identify and change patterns that don't work. Start a new chapter.

Feeling everyone else's pains and the weight of the world is beyond overwhelming. For Highly Sensitive People (HSPs) and those with high empathy, that gift comes with a huge price. Energy sensitive people-pleasers and fixers give and give to the point of self abandonment. But it's not something you can just turn off. Saying no to others feels so very wrong. Usually there is a trauma or many traumas that played a part in this. Sometimes it can be the result of someone in your history who had an illness, either mental or physical. Escaping it isn't enough to heal the damage.

Does your anxiety feel like a third wheel in your relationship? You’re tired of the "mental rehearsal"—analyzing every text, bracing for conflict, or wondering if you’re "too much" for the person you love. That weight in your chest isn't just about work; it’s the fear of disconnection. I help high-performers and deep thinkers move from anxious attachment and overthinking to genuine security. Whether you’re trapped in a cycle of people-pleasing or pulling away to protect yourself, we’ll work to regulate your nervous system so you can stop "managing" your partner and start connecting with them. You deserve a foundation, not a loop.

Domestic Abuse Therapists
What are the most effective ways to recover from domestic abuse?
Leaving an abusive relationship requires tremendous courage, so survivors in treatment should recognize that they have already completed the most important step. Still, the trauma of physical or emotional abuse can be difficult to process and overcome. Therapy can help survivors process trauma, grief, and difficult emotions, treat relevant mental health symptoms, and create a new framework for boundaries and relationships in the future. For some, support groups can also be an invaluable outlet for healing.

When should an individual seek help for domestic abuse?
Victims of intimate partner violence should seek help immediately. It can take substantial time, planning, energy, and courage to leave an abusive relationship, but starting the process—by seeking therapy, calling the domestic violence hotline, or simply confiding in a loved one—will help them get there. Those who have left abusive relationships but haven’t sought treatment can also greatly benefit from therapy to process and heal from the experience.

What are the consequences of staying in an abusive relationship?
Remaining in an abusive relationship has serious repercussions. In addition to the ongoing threat of physical danger and emotional abuse, research shows that intimate partner violence is associated with a range of mental health disorders including depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, and substance abuse. Therefore it’s important for individuals in an abusive relationship to seek help as soon as possible.

How can you get domestic abuse treatment for someone else?
It can be very complicated to identify and leave an abusive relationship; barriers include the threat of violence, financial instability, and family pressures. Those concerned about a loved one in an abusive relationship should talk to them about the situation, provide them with resources such as the domestic violence hotline, and introduce the idea of seeing a therapist due to their concern for the person’s safety and well-being.
